Summary: At last- a man who understands girls- and can say it aloud.
Review: When I realized that a man wrote this book, I thought it must be a gay author. Then I found out that he is not gay, but just possibly the best popular novelist of the decade. Read it, regardless of your sex. Also, read "I Know This Much Is True". I didn't think Lamb could top "She's Come Undone", but I was, again, wrong.

Summary: TEAR JERKING LAUGHING OUT LOUD ENTERTAINMENT
Review: This book was borrowed from a friend. I absolutely could not stop reading. I would stay up late reading, I would wake up at 2:00a.m. wondering what was going to happen next and read and drink coffee until time to go to work! I was completely enthralled. Thank you Wally Lamb! You have a fan in me!

Summary: Wow
Review: I don't know how else to start this review. I just finished reading the book, and turned directly to the internet to read what others thought of it. This book was one of the most intense I have read for a long time - perhaps because I (and probably every other woman) can relate to the main character, Dolores. There were times when I hated her, but mostly I was overwhelmed with pity. After I put the book down, I cried. I don't know whether it was more out of empathy for this fictious life, or because the story was over!

Summary: wonderful, wonderful, wonderful
Review: Truly one of the best late-day novels I have ever read. I don't know how he does it, but Wally Lamb honestly and expertly explores the complications and the awesomeness of the human female mind. Great first rate work that will keep you up until the early morning hours in effort to further watch Dolores' amazing, often heartbreaking tale unfold. Really an honest, nearly perfect work. I read this last summer, and it is still the first book I recommend to friends.

Summary: The most depressing book I have ever read
Review: This book made me depressed for days. I could not believe that everything that could go wrong for the main charcter did. The character endured every mality known to man.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I loved this book.
Review: Parts of this story were absolutely hilarious. Many of us can relate to this character and all her problems. I couldn't put it down. It's hard to believe that the author is male.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Dull, misogynistic drivel
Review: How very sad that this book is held up in such high regard. I read this for a book club and had to force myself through it with great difficulty. Not a single character in the book is likeable, not a single scene realistic.

On top of that, it is the most misogynistic book I have read in a long time. the author piles horrible incident upon horrible incident on the hapless Dolores. While some may view this as empathetic, in fact it's horribly cruel-- it's as if the (male) author is continually saying-- "watch what I'm going to do to her next."

It's poorly written, obvious, drivel.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: sensationalistic, at best.
Review: A decent story, but overly sensationalistic. I would like to see bestselling fiction stand more on well crafted writing & good story telling and less on terror-out-to-grab-you events.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: This book is a very boring read!
Review: I was forced to read this book for my high school class novel. Some people thought this book was to be very entertaining. However, I found the book to be in poor taste. The events in Dolores' life are portrayed in a manner that causes the reader to feel sorry for Dolores. At times I did feel sorry for her, but during most of the novel I wasn't. I wanted her to take control of her life. She allows others to rule her life. I wouldn't suggest this book to people who don't like to read depressing novels.

Summary: GREAT! A super story about a girl who SURVIVED!
Review: Dolores Price--What words come to mind when you hear those words? I think of a fighter who was able to overcome her past, and move on to her present. She managed to move past rape, heartache, getting mistreated, death in the family, getting made fun of, and more. She was an amazing girl...in no way a failure. If it was anyone else, they wouldn't have made it, but she did, and it showed me that no matter what you go through, you can still make it through life!
