Review: I FINISHED THIS BOOK IN 2 DAYS AND COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN THE WHOLE TIME. BEING A OVER WEIGHT TEEN AND ADULT, COMING FROM A DIVORCED FAMILY, I FELT SOMEHOW SIMILAR IN A FEW WAYS. I CRIED, LAUGHED AND MADE MY HUSBAND READ IT AFTER ME AND HE LOVED IT. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE THAT WANT TO BE TOUCHED. WALLY LAMB IS A GENIOUS AND I THINK HE IS THE BEST WRITTER. SUPRISINGLY THIS BOOK IS IN THE VOICE OF A WOMAN AND HE IS A MALE WRITING. I SCREAMS PERFECTION!

Review: this book is incredibly well written. as the pages evaporate, the reader developes a relationship with dolores. we've seen her life portrayed through the eyes of her, and we root and cheer her on throughout the final pages.

Review: This book is one of the best I have ever read in my 15 years. Its so amazing that a man could write a book in a women's perpective. You become the main charater's best friend and you go along with her and her life as she deals with many problems just like us.This is a GREAT BOOK! I recommend it to Everyone!

Review: This book did something to me. I, being slightly overweight, found myself feeling hostile toward people in public. After I finished this book I cried for a long time, still not sure why. I guess it touched me somehow.

Summary: Slightly better than a romance novel
Review: This book was not very good, I was extremely disappointed in it given the hype and supposed accolades it received in some reviews. The writing quality itself is juvenile, the author is simply not a very good writer, as the writing is just a step up from a romance novel in terms of literary quality. I found the main character repugnant and unbelievable in her behavior and thoughts; I did not care about her at all nor feel any empathy or understanding of her. Her character was not consistent in behavior, either, throughout the book. I don't understand why people seem amazed it was written by a man as the the female characters are not very realistic nor sympathetic. This author has simply figured out what to write to appeal to those who wallow in the simplistic and melodramatic female victimhood genre (which tends to be the stuff Oprah chooses). My low rating has nothing to do with it being depressing or because it reflects real life, as another reviewer proposed; in fact, it wasn't particularly depressing to me at all, because it was not very realistic nor touching.

Review: Although its recieved much hoopla from Oprah & the fact that its written by a man, 'She's Come Undone' remains a stellar novel & Dolores Price--one of the most passionately written characters in contemporary literature. Her life story swings in lots (sometimes unrealistic) of unnerving directions, but the storyline is always involving & uplifting.

Summary: What a boring main character
Review: This book started out okay but quickly deteriorated - I couldn't read past her mother's death. The main character is unpleasant and self-centered: her only goal in life is to make the people close to her miserable. She uses her parents' divorce as an excuse to be obnoxious and anti-social while refusing to take any responsibility for her life. She skips school, lies to her grandmother, and torments her long-suffering mother. Yuck. Being a victim seems her only goal in life - it's not surprising the other kids don't want to be her friend.

Review: This book is not to be missed. Wally Lamb so successfully portrays the emotions of a woman, I had to keep looking at the author picture to make sure a man had written this! It's a thoroughly absorbing and uplifting story. We could all learn a little self-acceptance!

She wears her heart on her selve and the world decides that she is a fat unfit, misfit, that does not fit in. But she changes her life to fit in, then life tosses her a curve ball again. She is the true meaning of a misfit people; That we all know, at one piont in our life.
