Summary: This book has everything
Review: I have read this book every few years since I was a teenager. Each time I find myself relating to something different that I over looked previously. No matter what stage you are in your life this book is apporiate. This book could be about any one person's life, yet when written down it seems so amazing.

Summary: The roller coaster life of Dolores Price
Review: This is a great story. One review here mentioned how this book is so realistic that it seems like an autobiography, a statement that I would have to agree with. It's been mentioned a lot, but it's truly amazing that this very realistic female character was created by a male author. Considering that I could never in a million years convincingly write about a man, I think it's a terrific feat that Wally Lamb has created such a convincing woman. The book really held my interest as it followed the roller coaster life of Dolores Price, through all her ups and downs, of which there are many. Her father leaving, her mother having a breakdown and ending up in a mental hospital, moving to her grandmother's house where she hates living, getting raped at age 13, gaining a tremendous amount of weight during high school, and a death at age 18. So by the time she's 18, she's completely messed up, a spoiled brat who wants nothing more than to stuff her face with junk food and watch TV. She soon finds herself in a mental hospital just like her mother. She eventually ends up with a deadbeat husband who turns out to be immature and irresponsible and tries to drag Dolores down from the better life she has been attempting to create for herself. Throughout the whole book, you're wondering if Dolores will come out on top, if she'll overcome the unhappiness of her past life. Or will she sink back to the depths of psychological despair and misery? This is a compelling story to be sure.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: I highly recommend this book to those wanting to read something new and different from run of the mill recycled plots. This is a page turner with surprising challenges and the tale of a young girl, who feels much older, and her journey and view of life.

Summary: This book is like excavating inspiration
Review: When I first bought this book is was because my friends kept raving about how much depth it had, even though the premise didn't seem that fresh or interesting. Now im the one raving about how great this book is! As I started to read it my anticipation transformed into disappointment. It didn't seem to be going anywhere throughout the first half. It wasn't until part three (two thirds into the book) that the main character Dolores started to develop into something more than a recount of her own odd, and tragic yet uninspiring life. One of the things I enjoyed most was the collage of colorful people who seem to guide Dolores and this book together into an unexpected and thought provoking end.

Summary: I Was Wrong!
Review: When first opening the book, "She's Come Undone", the first thought that crossed my mind was, "Oh great not another assigned novel from my english class that is sure to make me fall asleep in the middle and leave me not wanting to complete any assignment relating to it!" I was wrong! The book's main character, Dolores Price, captures the heart of the reader from the beginning. She goes through many trials and tribulations throughout the book that many people can relate to. Although Dolores seems to be an overbearing smartass at times, the situations she has to face make her become a better woman in the end. While most young girls face the tough decisions of what outfit to wear to school or which boy to choose to take to the dance, Dolores faces probles such as: her weight, rape, abusive father, unstable mother, sexual confusion, and the constant hurting of not fitting in or belonging to anyone. The book was a heart warming look inside of one young woman's unforgettable struggle through life. It is truly amazing that the author is a man for he seems to capture the female perspective wonderfully. I recommend this book to everyone. I am thankful this was a required reading assignment; otherwise I probably wouldn't have given it a second look. After reading this book and hearing Wally Lamb speak in person, I will definitely continue to read the works he publishes.

Summary: She's Come Undone
Review: Interresting, dark, and a bit humerous. Even if you don't like to read, this book will never be put down, and the pages will always be turning.

Summary: Surprised
Review: She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb is one of the best books I have read this year. I was reluctant at first, but it did not take me more than 20 pages to really get into the life of Dolores, her parents, grandmother, friends and foes.
Dolores lives a pretty normal and safe life until she is around 10 years old. From that point on, certain happenings shape her into the woman she is becoming 25 years later. Dolores, and a lot of the other characters in this book, goes through many things before Dolores' journey is over. Dolores' life is not easy, and it is not an easy book to read. There is nothing wrong with the writing, which flows easily, but some parts of the book are very emotional, and it is hard not to feel a little bit of Dolores pain. I really recommend this book.

Summary: Flabalous
Review: The book "she's come undone" is beautifully written in great detail from the female persepctive. Her journey through thick an thin ( no pun intended) is story for the ages. Though we've all had diffrent circumstances you cant help but relate or at the least empathize with her feelings etc. "She's come undone" is a book no one should overlook.
