Summary: amazing!
Review: i first read this book in 1996 when i was 17 years old. just last week, i reread it for what was probably the 25th time and was still moved to tears. i don't know what it is, (other than wally lamb's unparalleled creative ability), that makes this story and the characters so affecting, but it really doesn't matter. the bottom line is that every girl,(and most guys), that i have recommended this book for have placed in their top 10. that right there should say it all.

Summary: How could a male author write the female soul so well?
Review: I never imagined that any novel, especially one written in the 90's could inspire my emotions "She's Come Undone." Yet this beautifully written, popignant, honest novel put me on the brink of epiphany. This is the story of a girl, not very unlike myself, who struggles to live her often disconcerting life, and I think most of us can relate to that. From culturally-induced notions of what her body should look like to a mother afflicted with terrible diseases of the mind, our heroine suffers and learns and survives. And now that you're thinking I'm some new-wave hippie wanna-ba, I'll attempt to avoid saying anything that sounds cheap or insincere. In conclusion, this book could prove life-altering for you, if you can relate to the heroine as much as I did.

Summary: Like being at the scene of a bad accident...
Review: you want to look away but you just can't. Watching Dolores methodically make incredibly bad choices time after time set my teeth on edge. If she had done only one of the many stupid things that she did in this book I might have been able to stomach it. I Know This Much is True is much better!

Summary: Simply Beautiful!
Review: This book shed an entirely new, beautiful light on my perspective of life! What an amazing novel Wally Lamb has written! I felt throughout the entire novel that I knew Dolores. I wanted to share her burdens, lessen her pain, and at the least be her 'true' friend. This is a tale of an amazing personal journey through life (true life), and most importantly, the long road to self-actualization. I hope this novel has taught people to believe in themselves, that there is a better life, is so desired, and to have compassion for other people and their often unintended mistakes.

Summary: A real page turner
Review: This was definitely a page turner. I'm not much for reading because it's hard to find a book I like. I know I liked this one because it took me no time to read it. Other books I always seem to want to put down, bt not this one.

Summary: Please read this book.
Review: I will be honest and say throughout this book I hated the lead character. I hated her vulnerablility, her disappointment. The events that happened in her life that were not of her doing. Thats just to name a few of her experiances in this book. I hated her with every essence of my being. I thought she was stupid and self-destructive. I continued to read even though she disgusted me out of pure spite because I paid for the book and I was not going to waste my money. But, at the end of the book, after following this girl through her formative years and early adulthood, I realized why I hated her so much. She reminded me of me. I was not suicidal, but I had a couple of life events that altered my self image and made me lose me. Read this book, it may hurt a little, but it helps alot. Dolores demanded what was stolen from her be given back, and those things were hope, love, respect and self-esteem. Which one of us out there doesnt need to be reminded that we deserve that?

Summary: She's come undone
Review: I love this book. It made me to think about different things in my life. I really discovered a new world for myself. This book influenced me as nobody before. I solved many of my own problems connecting with men, society, friendship etc. I really want to thank the author for the book and especially my teacher Susan who gave me to read it. It was like a blessing.
