Summary: An amazing resource chock full of good stuff!
Review: How lucky you are if you're young and you've found this book! It contains so much wisdom -- stuff that took me years to learn or figure out through pain and trial. She shares so much good info! And she has such a good heart -- she keeps emphasizing the good for you and how to see and get rid of the negative in your life. It's obvious that Sylvia was chosen for this divine work. We are blessed to share in the eloquence of her gift. And it's so well written -- so easy to read and understand.

Here Sylvia talks about health, relationships, angels, religion, reincarnation, death, the other side, protecting ourselves from the negative, creating joy, identifying our purpose in life, and on and on. This is a practical guide with simple exercises and reasonable explanations. It also includes many beautiful, powerful affirmations to apply to our daily lives.

Sylvia is NOT some silly "nutcase psychic." Yeah, she's really funny, but this lady knows whereof she speaks. What a delight! Thank you, Sylvia!

Summary: Definately a life changer!
Review: I can say no less than EXTRAORDINARY! After reading the current 60 reviews, I feel a close bond to all those who recieved the same spiritual satisfaction from this book as I have. I am disgusted with those that think there is no proof, that it is a fairy tale, or just a way for Sylvia Browne to load her pockets. Prior to reading this book, I was pretty much a "non-believer" mostly because the information I've been taught never made sense, and certainly didn't seem realistic! Sylvia explains everything in a manner that makes perfect sense, and therefore gives you reason to believe in "The Other Side". I also saw her on Montel once, and was never able to forget it. I was in the bookstore, not even looking in the "Spiritual" section, and this book caught my eye. I found myself lured to it, and unable to put it down. Within 20min's I got a world of information and knew I had to buy it. Once owning it, I also was unable to put it down! (And I'm not thrilled about reading lengthy books!) This book has truly changed my life! I think of myself, and am learning to think of other's as Spirit's on a mission, rather than simple human beings. It's this simple: IT MAKES SENSE! If you are searching for "more" in your life-this is a must-read! It's definately one to give as a gift to those you love! I can go on and on.. but read all 60 (now 61) reviews, and you'll get the drift! Thank You Sylvia! Wouldn't I love to spend a day with you!

Summary: Sylvia needs a new Spirit Guide
Review: I had three major issues with this book. It was uncomfortable reading that every one on the other side is 30 years old and that we get 5 exit points. These seem too convenient and almost childish. Sylvia has done a disservice to herself and her readers by peppering her book with Christian teachings. By taking this approach, she severly restricted its universal appeal. I strongly believe that religion has nothing to do with spirituality and I don't think Sylvia has learned this lesson yet. Spirituality transcends religion and is beyond petty religious differences. Spiritiuality is broad and deep, very broad and deep. You have to lose your identity, before you can experience spirituality and that is a lesson that religion does not teach us. Religion thrives on differences, while spirtuality emphasizes interconnectedness. Just witness the turmoil throughout this wonderful world and you will realize that for most religions spiritualism is dead.

Finally, Sylvia why did you include that chapter on predictions? You did yourself a great disservice. This chapter alone destroyed your credibility in my eyes. You made no reference to: September 11 2001; the Taliban's fall, Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda's terrorism; Sadam Hussien's ungraceful fall; North Korea's leader; the Colombia disaster; the Iraq war; the successful Mars landing; the Bush, Gore presidential fight. And why did you think it was necessary to predict the events in the lives of some Hollywood celebrities? Pretty petty stuff in the light of what you missed.

Sylvia, I hope, these constructive criticisms will not compel you to cast me in the role of a Dark entity.

Summary: Intriguing
Review: I like watching her on TV, so I picked up a few of her books when I found them at a gernousl cheap price. I enjoyed reading this book. Some of this stuff was a bit hard to swallow, and I found my left eybrow raised a bit during a few instances. Nevertheless, I admit I've adopted a few of her ideas, both conciously and seemingly subconciously, and adding some 'to the mix' in my way of thinking and perceiving the world around me. I was kind of alienated, as I'm sure other readers were, by her "white light of the holy spirit and Jesus Christ" stuff...

Summary: So positive and interesting
Review: I wasn't sure about this book when my mom handed it to me, but I couldn't put it down once I started. So many of the things that Sylvia says I feel that already knew but hadn't put them into words. I think that everyone could take something positive away from reading this book, regardless of what you decide you want to accept as 'real'. I highly recommend it to anyone who is wanting to become a more positive person. And she's funny.

Summary: a must for any person with metaphysical interests
Review: If you find comfort in the chapters of this book; if you learned something about yourself or others; if it makes you a better person, than this book has served its purpose. I understand that a lot of people, with or without Near-Death-Experiences, might be doubtful or even critical, since the whole afterlife described by Sylvia and Francine sounds like a fairy tale. So read the book, erase the parts in your mind that you do not believe or do not find logical, and grow with the rest that the book has to offer. I think that is the whole purpose of Sylvia writing this book. Certainly better than Dr.(?) Richard Steinpach's view on "Why we live after death" That one scared...me! Sylvia's view helped me, made me think about life/death different, and believe me, I've read every book there is on the subject of reincarnation and afterlife. "Thanks for sharing Sylvia!"

Summary: Truely amazing.
Review: If you're the type of person that is unsure or skeptical about psychics or even your own life, then I recommend this book to you with out a doubt. Even if you're just curious, this book brings every different feeling, person, and personality together and leaves you with a feeling of "wow". Sylvia Browne takes laughter and seriousness into one small book to the point that all I have to say is that this is a MUST read. God bless and enjoy!

Summary: Eye-opening and unique!
Review: In this book, Sylvia Browne doesn't write like a psychic, but rather incorporates in each chapter her thoughts on subjects that most of us find very interesting. She communicates her life's philosophy, and that's not bad, as many things sound very good and are intriguing, but are speculative. I personally like books that deal head on, based on facts, with a topic, especially when it comes to spiritual issues. A book that I highly recommend when it comes to such important spiritual issues about heaven and hell, angels, and life after death, as well as understanding spirit trends, and how we can protect ourselves against negative energies and spirits, and find healing for the soul, is Dietmar Scherf's "I Love Me: Avoiding and Overcoming Depression" which is also available at Amazon.

Summary: The same info...
Review: Sylvia has written the same book at least four times... while
one was interesting the first time, it was disappointing to buy several of her other books and find very little information that
was different. Two are so similar, I had to check the book jacket to make sure I wasn't reading the same book !

Summary: THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER FOR A BETTER GOOD
Review: The Other Side and Back is by far, world renowned psychic Sylvia Browne's best book to date! If you think this book is just about the "other side" think again! Like Sylvia and her husband have said many times over, this book is more of a "how to" live your life. And I strongly believe that it has personally brought me closer to God, and to connect with my own spirituality. This book is 'A MUST READ!!' Buy at least 2 copies, one for you, and one for a dear friend or someone close to you for the holidays, believe me, they will end up thanking you for life! It opens your mind, makes you see a bigger picture of what life and living is all about, and it's done in that unique "Sylvia" way, written like only she could write it. And I was lucky enough to meet her and spend time with her at her spiritual salon last weekend, she is even more remarkable in person! And I thought nothing could top this book! Her presence that just fills the room, is something that you can't quite explain, and I know I have been blessed and my life has changed forever, for a better good, for having met her and spending time with her, discussing many of lifes issues. Somehow, she is the most remarkable person I have ever and will ever meet! We are truly blessed to be in such good company and comfort that her words hold for us. Open this book, and I guarantee, you won't be able to put it down. It's reading addiction, I am warning you! And in the back of the book, you'll find very interesting predictions for the Millenium. If you never pick up another book, this one will make you wanting more. And I hear she's working on another!
