Summary: WINTER IN THE WILD
Review: In Gary Paulsen's novel "Hatchet" Brian Robeson is stranded in the wild and rescued after 54 amazing days.

But what if he hadn't been rescued? What if his luck hadn't held. What if he had t face his deadliest enemy - WINTER? In "Brian's Winter" those aspects of Brian's adventure are explored. He suffers from lack of clothing, hunger (once more), numerous animal encounters (not all pleasant), a battle with a wild animal and much more.

This is a very interesting and exciting book. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and anyone who read "Hatchet" should definatly check this book out.

Summary: Brian's Winter BY Gary Paulson
Review: Imagine being stranded in the Canadian wilderness with nobody around. Well, that is the situation that thirteen-year-old Brian Robeson is in.

After the single-engine plane that he was flying in crashes to the ground, he is the sole survivor. He must survive on his own with a hatchet, knife, some cooking pots, a .22 survivor rifle and some other supplies from the emergency pack that was on the plane.

He survives summer and fall but, fast approaching is winter. He must use his intelligence, his instincts and make lifesaving decisions. Will he survive or will he die?

This spellbinding story, by Gary Paulson, is an adventure where one boy faces the true test of survival.

Review: If you like Hatchet the River, you'll love Brian's Winter. It's about what would happen if Brian did not get saved. He gets attacked by two bears and he kills a moose and a deer. One time it snowed and he could not get the door open, but then he did. Gary Paulson is my favorite author and will be forever.

Summary: Brian's Winter
Review: Brian's Winter is a sequel to the novel Hatchet. It's about how 13 year old Brian Robeson has to survive a Canadian winter. In Hatchet Brian was flying to his dads house when the pilot of the Cessena 406 bush plane had a heart attack. The plane crashed. Now Brian's surviving a Canadain winter. My favorate part of the book is when Brian gets hit by a charging moose while trying to kill it for meat. There are other cool parts like when he see's a wolf with a bloody and when the bear attacks him. The part of the story I picture most is when the Native American comes out of his hut ans says,"its you, I wondered when you'd come,"and ivited him into the hut.
