Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever Review: If you liked Hatchet, you're going to love this!! In this book, Paulsen shows us what would had happened if Brian hadn't been rescued after fifty-four days in the Canadian wilderness. Even if you haven't read Hatchet I recommend this book. It's really exciting, Paulsen describes the canadian nature more beutiful than ever. I don't think there's anything about this book I didn't like!! (Please mind my english, I'm from Sweden)
Rating: Summary: A Cool Book Review: A neat book I read is called "Brian's Winter". It is about a boy named Brian who is on a plane that chrashes. Brian is all alone. What I like about this book isthat Brian has to learn to survive the cold Northern winter. Brian also needs to make bows, arrows, and a war lance to survive. This book is one of my favroite books, and I bet you would like it to.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as the first Review: I think the main reason this book isn't as good as the first book, Hatchet, is that the reasoning isn't clear. Paulsen assumes that his reader has read the first book and doesn't readdress Brian's struggle with his parent's divorce. Despite this however, it's a fun book for any kids interested in the wild. Gary Paulsen is a master of telling great adventures; kids will be captivated at how Brian manages to save himself in the harshest of months, with nothing but a few camp supplies. Kids will definitely marvel at his survival skills.
Rating: Summary: Bryans Winter Review: I like this book, because it talks about survive without shelter just by your own self alone in an island, with a big bear trying to eat you. That's what happend to Bryan he's a kid who was going to see his dad who was in another country he was been take in a plane. Then the plane crash and he's alone by his self with a big bear who's trying to kill him. He can't sleep because he just thinks about the bear, who could come and kill him and eat him.I think this book is exiting because it talks about the bear and Bryan who's trying to survive.
Rating: Summary: Brain's winter......My waiste of time Review: Imagine yourself, in an unknown wild territory, where the animals are vicious, and the winters are even crueler... Well, after reading this book, I feel as though that situation would be better than reading it. Seriously, how long can you talk about someone eating rabbits, and on occasion, a moose. I would rather mangle and mutilate myself with a hammer than read this one again. Then there was the ending. A guy who was there all along said that, "I have been waiting for you," so really, they shouldn't have named it "Brian's Winter", they should have named it "Brians Stupidity". I don't know about you, but if I were in the wilderness, I would be doing everything to get out, not just staying in one place, so toodle-loo.

Rating: Summary: A great survival story!!! Review: We thought Brian's Winter was a good book. If we had to give the book a scale from 1 to 10 we would give it an 8. Some of the parts were exciting especially when animals attacked Brian. Other parts were boring because he sat in his hut and didn't talk about anything exciting. Hatchet is the first book in the series. It was about a boy named Brian who went to visit his father in Canada. But something went wrong! The pilot had a heart attack and Brian crashed the plane because he didn't know how to fly. It got stranded in the middle of nowhere. Brian's Winter is a continuation of Hatchet. In Brian's Winter he has to survive the freezing winter. He finds a way to survive by making clothes. Brian survives because he is so determined to get home to his family. We think this book is worth reading because we like Gary Paulsen.
Rating: Summary: Brian's Winter Review: I gave this book four stars because it's a good book for kids my age. It's about a boy named Brian and when he was in the forest for a winter and he struggles. But I don't want to tell you about the whole story so I think you should read this book, Brian's Winter.
Rating: Summary: A struggle for survival Review: This is a very well written book. Its a great book for any reader. This was a great book about survival in the harsh Canadian winter. But before reading this book you must read Hatchet or you would not understand it very well. So if you're looking for a good book and you like adventure this would be the book for you.
