Summary: The winter
Review: The winter By Gary Paulsen was an awsome book. It finish hatchet perfectly. The way it told every step of how Brian invented the war bow and how it worked. There was just so much detail that i had to keep reading. The winter was one of the best books i have read.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: BRIAN'S WINTER
Review: This book is about Brian from Hatchet. It is the sequal to Hatchet and it says what would have happened if Brian had never been rescued. The book is not as good as Hatchet but Brian still has a lot of adventures and challenges. I thought the book was all right but it could have used a lot more action and excitmen in it.

Summary: Brian's Winter
Review: This was a great book, if you read "Hatchet" I suggest you read this book. "Brian's Winter" continues from where "hatchet" left off, but only Brian, the main character, never got rescued. He has to live in the wilderness, and survive the harsh oncoming winter. Like most books, the sequel is not as good as the original, but it still excellent. Gary Paulsen is a great writer, he expresses his ideas so well, that it feels as though you are the character. I give "Brian's Winter" two thumbs up.

Summary: Good, entertaining, but confusing
Review: "Brians Winter" is a really good book. But before I read this book I read "The River". It seems that the books are not in order. "Brians Winter" should come before "The River". At the begining of "Brians Winter" it did not tell where he was or what he was doing. I had to go back and reread the forward and epilouge in order to figure out that it is actually a continueal book to "Hatchet", the first book in the series. It makes it as if Brian never got rescued in "Hatchet" and "Brians Winter" just continues it. It is confusing, but once you understand what he is doing it is a very good book thet I recommend to outdoor lovers.

Summary: Brain's Winter
Review: I rate Brian's Winter an overall 4 because while the book was very good, I feel that it has some problems. Brain's Winter presents an inteesting story, asking the question, "What would have happened if Brain hadn't been rescued?" In Brain's Winter, Brain wasn't rescued and he had to survive the greatest trial in nature: winter. Though the book is great, I am vexed by a few problems. First of all, (Don't read this if you hadn't read the book), I can't really understand why that trapper family kept to themselves. Also, Brian seems so accustumed to killing and skinning his prey that it doesn't seem to befit his age. I mean, I'm thriteen and it'd take some time for me to get used to killing and skinning a deer. Despite it's faults though, Brian's Winter is still a great book.

Summary: Brian's Winter by: Gary Paulsen
Review: This book was pretty good. The thing that spoiled it though was that I read "The River" before I read this book and it really didn't make sense at the beginning. I understand it now. Have you read the book "Hatchet"? Have you ever wondered what would've happened to Brian if he didn't get rescued? Well, if you are interested, "Brian's Winter" is the book for you. The worst thing in this book is Brian has to fight his worst enemy, winter! Brian has to be able to do a lot of things just to keep him alive. He struggles a lot and is put to the test. The adventure is on!

Summary: Don't read this book!
Review: Brian's winter is a very boring book. It is somewhere around 20 chapters of a boy living in the woods. Eventualy that gets kind of old and tiring. if you like books with one setting and absolutly no excitment then i guess you should read this book, but if you are like most of the people who read books and like the ones that are exciting then you won't want to read this book!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Well-written Book!
Review: I thought this was a fine book. I like the idea of alternate-endings in a series. What if Brian hadn't been rescued in "Hatchet", before the beginning of winter? How exactly would he have to re-adapt? Gary Paulsen, a masterful author, answers all of these questions, and more in the "alternate-universe" sequel to "Hatchet", "Brian's Winter".

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An incredible book
Review: If you read Hatchet, this is a must-read. If you have not read Hatchet, do so! This is a short book, but still worth reading.

Summary: Brian's Winter
Review: I really liked the book Brian's Winter. It told what would have happened had he not been rescued during the summer. I myself love to go hunting and fishing, and I know that sometimes the outdoors can be mean. I would recommend the book to anyone who liked the book Hatchet. In the book he realizes that he is going to have to work harder to survive winter. I have only read the book once, but I liked it that one time that I have read it. The book is about wilderness survival. If you have not read Brian's Winter I recommend it to you.
