Summary: A Cold Winter's Month
Review: Brian's Winter, a book written by Gary Paulsen, is an action packed adventure about a 13 year old boy who, in the previous book, was stranded in the Canadian Wilderness with a hatchet and a plane's survival pack. In this book, the Winter has come and Brian has to use healthy tactics to get food, build a shelter and make weapons. He also has to protect himself from such animals as skunks, Bears, and wolves.
This book has many great adventure that will make you want to keep on reading.
I think this book should be given to Army Trainers so they can teach their soldiers how to survive.
But, in my personal preference, this book had some areas where it could have been improved. Take the ending for example. Oh, I guess you'll have to read the book and see what you would like to change.

Summary: Brians Winter by Gary Paulsen
Review: Have any of you read Hatchet? Well if you have read Hatchet then have you ever wondered what would happened if Brian wasn't saved if he stayed in the woods for the winter? Then if you have Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen is the book for you. In the book Hatchet a boy Named Brian gets in a plane crash and has to survive through the Summer with nothing but close and a hatchet and right when he starts to lose hope he gets rescued. What if Brian wasn't rescued What if Brian had to survive through the winter? Well this is what Brian's Winter is all about. In the plane that Brian had crashed in was a survival kit, which had a gun, pots and pans etc. Brian uses the gun for hunting but then he ran out of bullets so he makes a bow and arrow but it's only for small game then he makes a war bow, which is for bigger animals and a spear for protection. Brian had some good adventures like when he killed and ate a moose and when a bear attacked him and his pet skunk saved him and then the skunk took Brian's meat. I'm surprised the skunk didn't runaway because the bear was so strong, big and scary because he threw Brian six feet high and six feet far. I think Brian is still alive because he didn't give up like rite after the bear attack he went hunting and don't kid yourself being thrown by a bear will hurt. Brian didn't give up although there was six feet of snow on the ground. I think Brian's creative because he made snowshoes, a vest, a war bow, a spear, and a knife. Does Brian get saved? Will Brian make it through the winter? Read the book to find out.

Summary: A Review of Brian's Winter
Review: Totally awesome book. I would extremely recommend it to readers age 10 and up. I loved how Brian never lost confidence when trying to survive, like when he found out his hunting .22 rifle didn't work. He had to do it the old fashioned way. Never was tired of reading. Could read 1 million times and never get tired of this book. Teaches a valuable lesson to kids. Great book. Recommended to anyone.

Summary: Ashtonishing!
Review: This book was quit an enjoyable book. It had plenty of action and suspense. It was completely worthmy time. Even though it was a short book, it was very eventful. If you have read Hatchet, you will love this book. I could find nothing wrong with this book.
This book is about a boy named Brian Robertson. How will he prepare for the cruely, cold, and long Canadain winters? How will he survive? Find out in this book.

Hatchet- Most of this story takes place in the Canadain wilderness. No food, no shelter, how will he suvive? He must learn to use the hatchet. He must use other senses than sight.

Summary: Brian's Winter; I love this book
Review: I loved the book. This book was about a young man who has to survive in the winter all by himself. It is a very exhilarating book. You never know what is going to happen next. The best part of the book is when Brian has to deal with his friend the skunk. Eureka Reader, 8th grade

Summary: Brian's Winter
Review: I thought Brian's Winter was a really good book. I rate this a 5 star book. I would recomened Brian's Winter to someone that likes the wilderness and hunting. It has a lot of good parts, funny parts, and sad parts. One of my favorite parts was when Brian made a sled out of deer hide that got frozen by the coldness. I also thought that when he found the Indians was really good. Even if you don't like hunting or the wilderness you would still like this book. It was really smart of him to make snowshoes to walk around in and hunt. It was also really smart of him to stack up on wood. I would recomend this book to anyone even if you don't like to read.

Summary: Brian's Winter
Review: I thought this book was slightly better than hatchet .I 'm not going to read Brian's Return .I liked it when the trees explode .Mr.Paulsen should have made it with Brian trying to find a home with other people then ,get his hatchet and knife lost .A person who likes the outdoors would like these books. If your like me and like books with action ,you'll kind of like this book .Their should have been two people in the book .that would be more interesting .Gary paulsen is in my top five favorite authors now .keep it up Mr.Paulsen .MAKE MORE BOOKS WITH EXPLODING TREES!!!

Summary: Surviving The Elements
Review: Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen was a very fun and exciting book to read. In it, Brian Robeson had to survive the winter wilderness by himself. He learns how to do things like cook and hunt in the cold weather conditions. Throughout this book, all Brian wants is to get back home, but in the meantime, he uses all his physical and mental strength to keep going in a tough situation.
I really enjoyed the part when Brian's .22 rifle broke and he had to survive using his bow and arrow. I would recommend Brian's Winter to kids who enjoy reading about action and adventure and the wilderness.

Summary: Amazing
Review: When I started reading this book, I thought that it would be dead boring, but after two chapters it got very interesting and I really had the wish to read it. Paulson has a very special way of writing novels. He writes it in a way that opens your imagination, and makes you feel as if you are right there with Brian. Actually the whole thing is about some person accidentaly got into the wilderness, and trying to survive. It is actually not much things in the content, but Paulson makes it so interesting that I think many people can't wait to read it. SO, if you like reading or you can't find the perfect book, try reading this one and see if it's your type of book. Good bye, and good luck!
