Summary: One of the most inspiring books I've read in a long time.
Review: I read this book and the moment I finished I flipped the book back to the front and started reading it again. The second time I was able to extract more from it then the first. It is wonderfully inspirational and when you really listen to what she is saying you realize how much it reflects who you are and what you need to do to become happy in life. I reccommend this book.

Summary: This book is a gift...a pleasant surprise.
Review: I am currently going through one of the biggest transitions of my life. It was not until I read Sarah's book that I realized that I was in the "Wilderness"...experiencing losses in every phase of my life like dominoes falling, forcing me to change directions and start over in order to survive. I have read many books along my spiritual journey, but not one yet that impacted my whole being as this one did. I am still amazed that the other women who contributed stories to this book have validated many of my deepest feelings. I could only read several stories at each sitting since emotions deep within me surfaced, making the journey overwhelming at times. Yet whenever depression reared its ugly head in my everyday life, I picked up this book instinctively. I know that I will keep it close at hand and read parts of it again. One quote in the book that summarizes it all for me is: "I've been shattered, and now in the middle of my life, have to start over again from scratch. Well, if I have to start all over again, this time I'm going to get it right."

Summary: Use what is right for you
Review: I have read this book, in small bursts. I never read simple abundence, but have really enjoyed Something more... I didnt accept every little thing as gospel or right for me. But I did sit there and say yes this applies to me and i'm using this to look at another aspect of my soul. Its like advice....use what you can. I did, and loved that it gave me the insite to say "So your scared... or intimidated... DO IT ANYWAY".

Summary: Responsiblilty For One's Own Joy & Happiness
Review: This book inspires and encourages women to respect, connect and honor their spirit. The reasonating theme of looking within one's self for answers and inspiration speaks to the crux of personal responsibility. Sarah is unusually skillful at weaving in quotes from a vast array of other writers, reminding the reader that many before have wrestled with the challenge rediscovering themselves. Read Something More with an open heart.

Summary: The best gift I've ever given myself.
Review: I feel as thou excavating your authentic self is like a bible. Every time I pick it up and read I underline what really makes sence to me. I can't get enough of the book. I try to use this book in my every day life. I share incouragements I've recieved from this book. It helped me write letters to my children, eg: our choices in life and who's life are they living, their own or are they making choices to please other people to be accepted. To always believe in themselves and how very proud I am to have them in my life. When I really want to feel good about myself I'll pick this book up and review some of the chapters. I've chosen to give this book to women that are close to me and I know will be inspired by it's writings. If anything it has awakened me that I have choosen what I have and where I am in life and most of all where I'm going. To take time out to be good to myself, because I deserve it. Hats off to Opera, for having Sarah on her show. I would of never known of this book unless I didn't see her show. Thank-you.

Summary: "Need Something More? Perhaps You Just Need a Divorce."
Review: I LOVED Simple Abundance! But- this new book was a heavy sigh. Many pages that made me feel bummed, but not enlightend. This author needs to read Stephen R. Covey! (or re-read Simple Abundance!) No marriage is perfect, and yes many women need to go find "Something More," especially the abused ones. But otherwise, I feel the common message made behind this book is that if you're married with children and need "Something More," then dump your family if you have to in order to find it. Not advice a woman with two small kids and a great marriage wants to hear. I feel that she is suggesting that if you don't get "to drive then get out of the car." I just feel she makes a valid point that there often needs to be Something More, all of us women want to find that; but I don't feel she gave me any ideas I can use on how to get it. I too had a problem with her not going to even one game for her daughter. That sort of set the flavor of the book. "The way to fulfill yourself is to only serve yourself." Couldn't get behind it...

Summary: I was hoping for something more.
Review: I recently read Something More, and I still find myself wondering if I misunderstood the author's message. I came away feeling that in order to receive something more in your life you must expect nothing less than perfection from others. Obviously, this will never happen. I think it's crucial that you expect those in your life to give you their best, but they'll never be perfect. I also felt that she spent a lot of time conveying this message to women in particular. I understand that there are many women who don't have high standards when it comes to the men in their lives, but I think the author went overboard telling women to just sit back and let the man do all the giving. I personally think it should work both ways. There were a few parts in the book that struck a chord with me, so I can't say that the book was a waste of my time.

Summary: Not Enough "Abundance" in Something More
Review: Having followed the "Simple Abundance" path for many years, I was excited to see a new book. Unfortunately, there was little additional information presented. I would only recommend this for those caught in a traumatic life change. Otherwise, read her first book, and stop there.

Summary: A GREAT HELP TOWARD FINDING YOUR TRUE WAY IN LIFE
Review: I have read more than my fair share of self-help books and spiritual awakening texts, but this book struck a chord with me. I found the most effective way to use the book was to read it through first, then go back and slowly read and reflect on each chapter and work on her activities on the second go-round. If you feel lost and undirected in your life, this book may well help you gain a direction true to yourself. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Such a disappointment
Review: This book is such a letdown after the life-altering Simple Abundance. I'm not sure where Sarah BanBreathnach is coming from in Something More - it just didn't have a truthful ring to it. I almost felt she was pressured to get another book out and so rehashed her old material. Read Simple Abundance instead.
