Summary: Beautifully Chilling, Artfully Sensual
Review: Yes, the puns are intended. An odd woman, Sweeny. She sees ghosts and goes into shock every time she walks in her sleep to paint pictures of the dead.

Linda's characters will make you put your coat on one minute, but read on, and you'll be fanning yourself from the heat you feel for Richard. He can warm up my chilblains any day.

You can't put this one down, but as always, Linda writes a page turner with characters so real you feel the hero nibbling on your ear. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves romantic suspense and doesn't pale at four-letter words.

Why some readers insist on comparing this book to any other is beyond me. Each book an author writes stands alone and should be viewed as such. One may like a book better than another, but diversity in an author's writing is the most desirable trait she can have aside from enormous talent. I always look forward to every Linda Howard book. They're all great reads, and they weren't stamped out of a cookie cutter.

Summary: Good, but not great...
Review: While a mediocre Linda Howard is better than no Linda Howard, I was disappointed with "Now You See Her". I wanted to love it, and I did enjoy it, but it was definitely not up to her usual standards. I agree with some of the other reviewers; it seems as though her editor rushed her through this book before she had fully fleshed out her characters and plot. Still, I'm breathlessly (well, okay not exactly) awaiting her sequel to "Kill and Tell", and I'm hoping it'll be as excellent as "Dream Man".

Summary: A GREAT READ!
Review: I strongly recommend this novel. Great suspense, sexy, enjoyable! Bravo!

Summary: Among her best books
Review: In my opinion, this was one of her best books after "Son of the Morning". A definate must read.

Summary: Not up to Linda Howard's standards
Review: I have enjoyed all of Linda Howard's books, with the exception of this new one. The heroine of "Now you see her," lacks character and is whiny. She only has one friend, Candra, but this does not stop our heroine from getting involved with Candra's husband. Although Candra and her husband are separated, loyalty from the heroine would not be misplaced. In a time when solidarity is an appreciated attribute among women, this book betrays that. The characters of the book are not likable, they are bland and no one cares about what happens to them. The mystery does not exist and the ending is no surprise at all. I can only hope that Ms. Howard's next project will be in tune with her previous work.

Summary: Just the outline
Review: While I have always enjoyed Linda Howard books, I believe that she is now writing short stories. Now You See Her (& Kiss & Tell) appeared to have been rushed to the publisher while still in outline format. There is little or no character development and the plot is extremely thin. While it's a good start, the book was far from finished. If this "wham, bam thank you 'mam" style of writing continues, I'll be a former Linda Howard fan.

Summary: Linda Howard is the Queen of Romantic Suspense...
Review: She rules with her mighty pen (okay, her mighty laptop). NOW YOU SEE HER wasn't as emotionally intense as some of her other books, but I was not disappointed. The main reason I love Linda Howard's books (and I have almost all of them) is that her male characters are decent (did I mention sexy?) and don't play the cat-and-mouse game. There is a credible reason for the conflict between the characters in NOW YOU SEE HER. I do hope that she focuses a bit more on the romance part in her next offering, but this is a wonderful book.

Summary: Linda Howard Could Have Done Better
Review: As a fan of Linda Howard, I was greatly disappointed in her hardcover debut. The characters & mystery could have been developed more. This is almost more of a short story rather than a full length novel. The story doesn't really even develop. Save your money for the paperback or borrow someone else's copy of the novel. Linda really needs to return to the style of writing she exhibited in "Dream Man".

Summary: A good read
Review: Five hearts from me as I enjoyed this book very much! Read it in one sitting! After reading the customer reviews, it's hard to believe that we all read the same book! Richard is one of the sexiest heroes I've come across in awhile and Sweeney was a great heroine. I loved them as a couple. I think many of the people who enjoy a good book to read would not be disappointed. Also I would like to mention that Sweeney's paranormal powers were explained in the Epilogue. I agree that there were a few loose ends but it was nothing I cared about. I didn't care much for Dream Man but Now You See Her was great. The book was entertaining and I highly recommend it.

Summary: Good pleasant read, but not one of Howard's best...
Review: As a long time fan of Howard's, I know never to start one of her books unless I have time to finish it in the same sitting. This novel meets that criteria. However, the lack of actual coversation and character interaction in the book left me with the impression that the lion's share of the book was left on the editing floor. The characters in this book are a far cry from the type characters that she has previously written. With the exception of the hero and heroine, the characters are a slap-in-the-face look at the darkest of human motivators. It's evident, and highly commendable, that Howard is exploring her talent and genre instead of staying 'glued' with the safe and familiar, like so many authors tend to do.
