Summary: Good Beach Book
Review: I've read "Tell Me Lies" and "Crazy For You" by Jennifer Cruisie and thoroughly enjoyed them so I immediately picked up "Welcome to Temptation" for a quick summer read and I wasn't disappointed!

It's about two sisters who go to Temptation, Ohio to shoot a movie about a film star. However, as Sophie Dempsey put it, they entered "Bat country" when they settled into Temptation. Being from the wrong side of the tracks, Sophie and her sister create a lot of gossip and rumours among the townfolk of Temptation, which leads them directly into the paths of Phin Tucker, mayor, and Wes, police chief and a whole lot of fun!

Another great story with interesting characters from Cruisie. I can't wait for the next one!

Summary: Whew! What a ride!!!
Review: From beginning to end this book will make you smile. Well written, flows quickly, and is hot enough to make you burn. Several time I found myself chuckling or laughing out loud at the antics of these characters. As I abhorred Ms. Crusie's first novel "Tell Me Lies" and vowed to not read another thing by her, I can honestly say I'm nearly shocked at the progress she has made in her writing style. Congratulations on a job well done. I look forward to reading more.

Summary: Great fun!
Review: This is perhaps the quentisential "beach book". Actually, it's so much fun, you'll enjoy it lying in the sun on the beach or inside the house on a rainy day. Just sit back with Jennifer Crusie's wonderful cast of characters and wait for the fun to happen. It may be difficult to believe that an author can successfully blend elements of drama, comedy, mystery, romance, farce, and errotica in one book but Crusie manages it. The story of two wedding-videographer sisters who come to small-town Temptation, Ohio and find themselves embroiled in everything from politics to soft-core pornography is totally enjoyable. From the reviews I've read, everyone seems to agree with me that this book is terrific. Order your copy today and see for yourself!

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: I picked up this book on the recommendation of other Amazon readers and am I glad I did! Ms. Crusie has a deliciously wicked sense of humor and the book is filled with laugh-out-loud passages. Small towns just don't get any weirder, funnier or kinkier than this! The romance (and verbal dueling) between the two main characters, Phin and Sophie, is the crux, but the story is crammed with so many other interesting characters, sub-plots and snappy dialogue, you'll savor it all.

The book's genre is probably romance/comedy (with a bit of mystery thrown in for good measure), but don't let that deter you if you're not a romance reader as a rule (I'm not). This book is irresistible and you won't want to put it down! I'm already lining up for all of Ms. Crusie's other books. Let's hope they're half as good as this one.

Summary: wacky, sexy, fantastic!
Review: I never read anything like this before. This book was crowded with gossips, murder, porn, adultery, wacky towns-people and boy did I love it!! It was one hell of a ride and my first experience with Ms. Crusie. Believe me, it won't be my last

Summary: Laugh out Loud
Review: I loved this book! It is a cannot-put-down, laugh-out-loud, I- can't-believe-she-wrote that, type of book!

Summary: Audiobook boosts Temptation to contemporary romance classic
Review: Aasne Vigesaa's narration of Jennifer Crusie's Welcome to Temptation is the funniest, sexiest romp I have ever had the pleasure to listen (and re-listen) to. Each character's voice is easy to identify, and I instantly fell in love with Phin and Sophie. I'd love to hear Davey's story someday, (hint, hint) Do yourself a favor and give a listen to Welcome to Temptation, far and away Crusie's best.

Summary: Absolutely fantastic!
Review: Okay, I've got to be honest. This is only my second book by Jennifer Crusie. I wasn't too thrilled with _Crazy for You_ but I wanted to give Jennifer Crusie another try and _Welcome to Temptation_ just jumped off the shelf at me (come on, with a name like that you've got to be intrigued). Well, this is it. One of the best humorous romances that I have ever read. Imagine the funniest thing you can think of, multiply it by ten, and you might have a tiny idea of how funny this book is. Water towers resembling sex organs, apple wall paper that looks like blue cherries, soft porn movies, pool, it's all in here. Jennifer Crusie really comes alive with _Welcome to Temptation_ and goes all out with her book. Sophie and Phin are perfect and Temptation is just the kind of town that old movies were made in. Jennifer Crusie brings it all to life and what results is a page turner that will make you laugh until you cry. Not to mention how incredibly sexy it is... whoa! This book is practically steaming. _Welcome to Temptation_ is a wonderful, off beat fairy tale that will move it's way into your heart. I'd give it a higher rating if I could. Thank you, Jennifer Crusie! You're book is a masterpiece that is immensly enjoyable. Now, go out and get this book, NOW!

Summary: What a fun ride through Temptation!
Review: Thoroughly engaging characters, plots and sub-plots. I love when even the villains have redeeming characteristics. I love humor, especially when it is as well done as this is. (And I fell out of my chair laughing on the last page!)

This book grabs you from the start and pulls you along, never stopping (except to let you savor the wonderful sensual scenes) until you get to the last page, so be warned: start it early in the day because you won't put it down. And be prepared to buy Dove bars your next trip to the grocery store.

I've never been the least bit disappointed in a Crusie book, and I hate to bring this up but it was a bothersome: the use of two people talking within the same paragraph. It was used all through this book (and according to my writing group, it's the Coming Thing in Writing) and it's confusing as all get-out. Whenever it's done, I have to go back to see that it indeed was two people talking and not one, and then figure out who the next paragraph of dialogue, which is never credited, comes from. It really stops the story. Please don't do it any more, Jennifer!

And I was also hoping that Chief Mazur would mention his Grandma Mazur, so this would tie into Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series! ;^)

But other than that the book is a terrific read and the potential reader is doing themself a real favor by picking it up. Go, Jennifer!

Summary: A good, light summer read.
Review: If you are have had a hard week, I suggest when the weekend comes that you tie a hammock to a tree, grab this book & do not move until the book is done. You will be resfreshed and quite entertained by this book. It is a very quick and light read (I read the whole thing on a few hour flight) and it just screams summer beach read. I did not like the first Jennifer Cruise book I read, but I am glad I took the time to read this one as it was just the pick me up I needed. The pace is quick, the characters charming & it makes you long for small town America.
