Romeo & Juliet (Arkangel Complete Shakespeare)

Summary: Shakespeare at its Best!!!
Review: I just purchaced the tape and I think it to be one of the best productions of Shakespeare I have ever heard. Joseph Fiennes is a simply delightful Romeo, remenicent of his older brother Ralph Fiennes yet much gentler and heartbreaking. I strongly recomend this to all lovers of the play and Shakespeare in general. It lifts the soul and breaks the heart, a feast for the mind and spirit!!!

Summary: Excellent production--good sound
Review: I love the Arkangel series of Shakespeare on tape. As to this one, I may not be the best judge of sound but this production on tape never made me pull my earphones away and wince in pain as an over loud music interlude started. That is the primary reason I would like to collect all of the Arkangel productions. Romeo is well chosen for his voice, he sounds rash and young. I can well believe that he would kill himself. The Friar is the best vocal choice; he's exactly how I thought he should sound. Juliet sounds beautiful and the nurse is truly wonderful.

Review: Joseph Fiennes As Romeo was the greatest thing to ever happen to Romeo And Juliet. Joseph is simply one of the worlds most talented actors. I am sure he will have a long and fruitful career.

Review: This is the best thing since sliced bread. Said Robert Ebert. I don't see how any other book on tape accept for the odyssey is any better. This should sell like hot cakes.

Review: This one of the world's most famous love stories. I am really toached with shakespeare,it's one you can read over and over again. This familar story has been reflected on by so many people and it's hapening every day in our society. I felt that nothing could come between them even in death.

Review: This play was okay, but it wasn't anywhere as good as Hamlet and Macbeth. Romeo and Juliet didn't seem that believeable to me and I thought the way they couldn't bear being apart after only knowing each other for 3 days just didn't seem realistic. I know people married after only knowing each other that long back then but I don't think they could really be in love. The end was pretty good though.
