Summary: I'm reading this series backward...
Review: A friend bought me this book, so I wasn't aware it was a series. I was glad to know there are more of the "intriguing" characters to be read about and look forward to that. This story had a great many FUN moments, and a couple of tiresome happenings. However, for the most part it was enjoyable. I would have liked to have read more about the Scottish aspect, rather than the English lord, who deigned to "fall-in-love" with a Scottish lass.

Summary: I simply loved this book...
Review: Actually I would like to rate this book 6 stars. Scottish Bride is the fourth and final book of Ms.Coulter's Bride series. She did a splendid job in writing this book. This is truely a romantic love story. I loved Tysen and Mary Rose so much that I didn't want this book to end. Meggie also did a very good job in adding sense of humor to the story.

Summary: Learn to say "when"!
Review: As another reviewer mentioned, this book is TOO LONG. It should have finished once Mary Rose & Tysen got married. And the "plot" involving Erickson MacPhail--a very low-rent affair. There was no real danger, and no real evil, just a bungled kidnapping by a very misguided idiot.

It almost seemed as if Coulter didn't devote 100% attention to this novel-- the characters were pretty much cardboard cut-outs. I didn't get much sense of them being "real." And after a while Meggie wasn't "cute and amusing" anymore, she was just plain annoying.

I haven't read any other of the Sherbrooke books, but I'm glad to hear they're better than this one. Considering Coulter's status as a writer, they'd almost have to be!

Summary: Scottish Bride - Nice Addition
Review: Catherine Coulter faithfully follows her Sherbrooke series with this latest addition. Tysen Sherbrooke in the previous Bride books was rather irritating but in the latest finally seems to develope the wit and charm that characterized his brothers. Mary Rose, our leading lady, is at times rather insipid but remains charming as a whole. The Scottish Bride is light entertainment but still worth the read.

Summary: Not her best but still very enjoyable.
Review: Catherine Coulter is the type of author who if I'm in the right mood I'll reread several of her books in one sitting and thoroughly enjoy them. But if I'm not in the right mood her style of characters can really irritate. I enjoyed the Scotish bride it was nice to go back and see how all the Sherbrooks were doing. And although I wouldn't say it was my favourite in the series,it's definitely a keeper.

Summary: Laughter, Tears, and Cheers
Review: Catherinee Coulter has outdone herself in this noval. I loved Meggies protectiveness and pranks. Did you no that ghosts can whistle, this little girl can. A Vicar who finds love, joy and laughter, when he hasn't known it in ages. Evil that has a pretty face as well as hansome. Children that will have you looking at your own a secound time. Romance and Love that will keep you comming back for more. I couldnt put it down it lifted my day,and my husband said the results were wonderful! This will make you feel good, and maybe make you believe you can have it to.

Summary: Bloody he** , Why did I waste my money on this?!
Review: Don't mistake me. I love Coutler books. I have a huge collection of them, my favorite of course being The Sherbrooke Bride. I loved the Bride series, and the following Mad Jack and Courtship, but this book left me high and dry. I have never felt the need to skim a Coulter book, but unfortunately this book did not hold my interest. Tyson is a nice character. Mary Rose is a nice character. But they are both so boring at times I wanted to scream! It seemed to be that Coulter once she gave these characters their traits, she wasn't sure what she wanted to do with them. The only reason why I even finished this book was to read about the other Sherbrookes, especially my honey Douglas. My suggestion to all of those interested, wait until you can check it out from your local library.

Summary: I loved it!
Review: How often do you read romances where the man acts virgin-like and doesn't have a clue what real passion is until the woman awakens it in him? This is refreshing. Usually it is the other way around. But for the man to not understand or having never felt such desire before, it makes it exciting when he finally does. I think it makes the woman in all of us want to show him the ropes! Especially such a good looking man like Tysen. You feel his confusion, his astonishment, his first glimpse of real passion. It made me enjoy the book all the more because he is feeling these things at the same time as the heroine, Mary Rose when, for instance, they have their first kiss. They "share" this wonderful encounter of desire together. I enjoyed this story as a nice change of pace!
