Summary: Very attention grabbing
Review: I saw a review that said the words were too difficult. No not really! Only for a 12 year old! I think this book is very action packed. Though it is not Clancy's best, it is still an awesome book! I think this book should be owned by everyone!

Summary: action and nothing more...
Review: Read this book for a very compelling insight into Special Ops training and action. In this way, Rainbow Six is great. I sense thorough research in this regard.

Unfortunately, the underlying conspiracy that acts to bind the plot together isn't as convincing. Neither are many of the characters (some of which may represent Clancy's personal political views).

I do recommend this book (from a library, of course). The descriptions of tactical combat exercise and execution are awesome as are the action sequences. The action is perfectly to the point and never hurried. Images from various aspects of a situation are described in such a way that the reader gets a sense of that they are occurring simultaneously.

Summary: Not a Tom Clancy fan
Review: I usually find Tom Clancy novels a little too technical but I truely enjoyed this one.

Summary: Quick, exciting read; much better than his last two
Review: I've read all of Clancy's Ryan/Clark books, and this one stacks up pretty well. Definitely better than the boring "Debt of Honor" and the awful aren't-we-just-perfect "Executive Orders". R6 is fast-paced and interesting, with a manageable dose of the macho posturing that was so overbearing in EO. Some pretty neat plot twists, though not on the scale of Red October or Sum of All Fears. Definitely worth reading.

Summary: Rainbow Review
Review: I first discovered Rainbow Six by playing through the video game, which is quite good. But, even someone who hardly reads would enjoy this book. The way Clancy intertwines the stories of the charecters and the way they come together in the end is amazing: 5 stars P.S My name really is John Clark

Summary: typical clancy
Review: I liked the book. It was long with only a few breaks in the action. This was my 1st read in the ongoing saga. Not the way to read Clancy but I saw Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger as movies so I knew the storyline. Clark and Chavez have come a long way. Action in this one starts with the initial plane trip to England. If you like stories of Super elite teams of good guys beating the daylights out of terrorists, this ones for you. Alot of interesting stuff and some good action.

Summary: Don't buy this book, pal
Review: I used to love reading Clancy's books - Red Storm Rising was a real technothriller. After reading Executive Orders, and now this piece of junk, I'll have to go back to lawyer novels. Briefly, the plot revolves around environmental extremists who have found a way to rid Earth of humanity (except them, of course). These extremists instigate a number of terrorist incidents to allow them to put their plan into action. That brings them up against John Clark and Ding. Well, you know who's going to win. The book is poorly written and poorly researched. The dialogue is atrocious (when was the last time you heard Ph.D.'s in biochemistry and biology calling everyone they meet "pal" - when was the last time you heard ANYONE address relative strangers as "pal"?) and unrealistic. Put yourself in the position of any of Clancy's characters and imagine yourself saying the things he has them say. Never happen, G.I. And did you know that when it's summer in Australia, it's also summer in Kansas? Environmental warfare is certainly a topic worth some imaginative fiction (witness the Gulf War, for example), but Clancy's imagination and his writing "skills" aren't up to the task. Beyond that, he has once again let his own political views get in the way of the story. A much more likely scenario of environmental war is nation-states competing for access to dwindling resources. There's a good idea for some techno-writer - I just hope Clancy doesn't try it..

Summary: Rainbow Six
Review: This his book is arguably his best work. It has very interesting and deep story once you pick it up you'll never put it down again. It is also extremely well written, the story is portrade in the best way I would recommend this book to any one.

Summary: Compelling and exciting
Review: This is the first Clancy book that I read, and I was quite impressed. The action sequences were fantastic, and really grabbed my attention. The ending was a bit lagging, but overall, I thought this book was awesome. A lot of fun to read.
