Summary: The sisterhood
Review: The 1st book, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is onew of my favorite books ever, i thought that this one was very good, but not as good. But a few things upset me about it. When Lena and Kostos got back together and had a very romantic relationship, i was so happy, and i couldn't wait to read more about her. But i don't like how it turned out for them and i don't really like the end of the book. It made me cry a lot and it made me very unhappy.

Review: Books like this go too fast. i wish they were longer. Also gotta reads are Shadow Horse and Return of the Gypsy Witch by Alison Hart. They're two of my faves--hard to put down, too!

Review: Anne Brashare's The Second Summer of the Sisterhood was absolutely amazing!!! It is equally as outstanding as the first one, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. When all four 'sisters' reach this new, exciting, adventurous, and surprising summer... SO many new things happen! Bridget learns a little bit more about her family.. and many other secrets. Tibby's summer doesn't involve "Pick up in isle one!" at Wallgreen's. Lena spends time with her greek boyfriend, Kostos. Carmen has mom troubles. What will happen? What new things will become of the Sisterhood? You have to read this wonderful sequil to find out!!<3

Review: I read the first book last year and i absolutely loved it, when this book came, i read it in 1 day. i was home alone on spring break and i found myself so engaged in the book that when it ended i wanted to be a part of their world. i wanted to be friends with the septembers and live in their town and fall in love with kostos. the second summer made me laugh, cry, shout for joy and made my heart ache. if only books were real

Review: This book was absolutely amazing! I loved the first one and couldn't wait to get this one; when it arrived in the mail I ripped open the box and read it straight through.
This book takes place the summer after the first one (hence the title). Although Lena, Carmen, Tibby, and Bridget will be spending some of their summer together, they lives end up taking completely different paths.
Bridget, who was originally supposed to stay home for the summer, decides to go to Alabama to see her grandmother Greta. She wants to find out about her mother, and she also wants to try to rediscover herself after feeling lost as a result of her experiences the previous summer.
Lena stays in Bethesda and gets a job, but feels unhappy and a little lost. When fate puts her and Kostos together again, Lena's emotional strength is tested in new ways.
Carmen finally has a chance at love with a cute boy, Porter, but she can't help feeling pushed aside by her mother. Carmen's mom has got a new boyfriend, David, and things are not going the way she wants them to at all. Will Carmen's bad side from last summer reappear?
Tibby goes to film camp where she has to make a film about someone who has played an important role in her life. Will she make a shallow film or will she face her problems and do something that she can be proud of?
For those Kostos lovers out there (myself included), everyone's favorite Greek hottie plays a big part this summer. Some old favorite characters are back, like Brian McBrian and Paul and Krista. There are also new people to love or hate, like Greta, Billy Kline, Alex and Maura, and David.
The author provides more insight into the Septembers' mothers' relationships with each other as well, and we learn more about everyone.
Reading this book is like getting reacquainted with old friends. These girls are not fictional characters, they are real people! If you loved Ann Brashares's first novel, then this second book will blow you away!

Review: With very big expections form this book after reading the first i'm very pleased to inform fellow readers that this book is as good , if not better than the first. It really gives you a chance to learn more about each character and there mother's past.
Even better as each girl is given a romantic hope this time around.

Review: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood was awesome! But what really happened to Bridget's mom? That was really confusing. I hate Kostos, I can't believe he would get some girl pregnant and sleep with her on the second date. What a jerk! On to the book. Bridget is fat and brunetted in the second book which is horrible beyond belief. As always, there are two girls who are really boring to read about, in this book it's Bridget( can you believe it? Sadly, she doesn't get better until the end.) and Tibby. Poor Tibby. I feel as though she is pretty much the outcast. Love to all, this was a fabolously fabolous book.

Review: Ann Brashares has definitely grown up between writing The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and The Second Summer of the Sisterhood. Her sequel is more melancholy and its plot lines are more developed -- by saying this, I am not criticizing the first book because I absolutely loved that one. But this book is absolutely amazing too, a good followup.
The first book focuses on introducing the four girls Carmen, Tibby, Lena and Bridget, on each one's journey of finding themselves, without the help of each other, stabilizing their friendship. The second book focuses on the four girls and their relationship with their mothers, dealing with issues and ghosts from the pasts. Whilst the first book is lighter, the second book is sadder and more melancholy. I recommend both books.

Summary: These Pants Stand on their Own
Review: This book, and its author, is incredible. The fact that it is a sequel doesn't take away from its coolness. I'm fifteen and I loved the way I could identify with these 4 girls problems, because, once again, they do have them (who doesn't?).
Tibby is at a college filmaking camp and is forced to make hard decisions about who she is and who she wants to be, Bridget has not recovered from the ordeal she went through last summer and decides to head south to rediscover "Bee" and reaquaint herself with her past, Lena decided during the winter to extricate herself from Kostos but she has second thoughts and deals with painful decisions made by her and others that are close to her, and Carmen, becomes jealous of her mother's new interest in dating, see how she deals with it this time...
For anyone who hasn't read the first book, read it! and then read this one, you won't be sorry, its a long book, but it won't take too long to finish because you won't be able to put it down!
