The book well turn your whole life around.Since I have read the books and I changed my beliefs and have beem baptized. I pray with all my heart that people well pick up the books and read them. Review: Ok, I dont feel like typing 30 pages right now, (j/k they cant be that long)... I'll make it short. If you are a Christian, this book along with the other ones in the series are a way to learn some (but I wouldnt say that the main purpose is to learn), and you would enjoy a great story with awesome characters that would focus you more on God. If you arent a Christian, i even more highly suggest this series! It will make you think, I hope... dont go in thinking it will preach to you because it wont. Thats not what it is! it is a fiction story based on facts from the Bible- even if you get nothing out of it, i think it is enjoyable! I LOVED THOSE BOOKS!!! Ok sorry, i hope u at least borrow or buy this book or something... if youre doing the whole series read them in order, it makes more sense that way... God Bless u all!

Summary: Too many books in the series
Review: It becomes obvious that the authors are trying to stretch their story into more books. What initially began as a quick moving and interesting story line, has become bogged down in continuous recaps of previous story lines and lack of forward movement to the plot. The first books of this series made you think and question your life...the last couple of books make you wonder why you are wasting your time on a storyline that could be summed up in a couple of chapters, rather than 400+ pages. The books are becoming more and more disappointing. The authors should have kept to their initial plan of a shorter, more intense series that left a deep message rather than watering down not only their plot, but their message.

Summary: Slow and redundant
Review: As an avid reader, I have enjoyed the Left Behind series for what it is: entertainment. The books are not well written works of literature; however, the lastest edition to the series, The Indwelling, has stooped to an all time low. The plot was completely predictable and drawn out. It was evident from the previous book who is the assasin. It is interesting to see the attempts at spiritual questioning and maturing of the characters but it stops at interesting. I find myself no longer caring about the characters because they are shallow. I got the feeling the authors were just trying to drag out books so the series could last longer. I know these men are capable of better and I hope that the next book will prove to be better written and to have a tighter plot. If not, I'm afraid they may lose readership. For those interested in an author who approaches spiritual content in an excellent manner; you may want to check out Francine Rivers books.

Summary: Fiction yes, but lots of fun!
Review: Although the book is fiction, and it is only one interpretation of Revelation, that does not discredit the authors' innovative writing style and wonderful ideas. There are not too many books (although I love reading) that capture my attention and require me to force myself to put it down. Frank Peretti's novels, and the "Left Behind" series are two such phenomenons. I feel that the questions that the book(s) of Jenkins and LaHaye provoke are interesting, challenging, and motivating. It made me want to read Revelation, Daniel, and Matthew all over again! I have been truly blessed by their writing, and feel that they have done a spectacular job. God bless them!

Summary: How will it all end?
Review: Enjoyed the 7th of a compelling series. It is interesting that a mix of revelations can be added to a fictional story to reveal a version of what may happen if and when. It is also interesting that this series continues to gather in believers and nonbelievers in the unity of interest. I can't wait for book 8!

Summary: A Cautionary Tale
Review: Okay...I'm sure I'm going to take some heat here, but I'm going to say it anyway. Beyond the terrific writing, fine characterization and wonderful pacing, the "Left Behind" series as a whole is serving as a warning of sorts to those who still have doubts, a warning of what's to come. My own spiritual journey was a difficult one--hampered by organized religion, believe it or not. I couldn't help wondering how each denomination could come up with different answers from the same Bible. La Haye and Jenkins made me ask questions and seek the answers--and through this wonderful series, provided me with a wonderful road map. I anxiously await each book, at the same time dreading the series' eventual end. Corny? I'll take my chances. I like to be on the winning team.

Summary: Yes, TRIPE!
Review: Regardless of the authors' intent, this book is just BAD, BAD, BAD and they should be ashamed to market it in the name of Christ. I HAVE read Revelation (it's not "Revelations," by the way) and there are plenty of other sources that non-believers can read to get a good explanation of it -- for instance, any of Tim LaHaye's books about Revelation. As far as excusing the authors for poor writing because they are publishing a book every six months -- no one made them publish them that close together or forced them to string the series out over so many books. Again, this is criticism of the writing of men -- not the inspired Word of God.

Summary: NOT ENOUGH SYNONYMS FOR "HORRIBLE"....
Review: ....are available when trying to describe my reaction to this latest installment (I won't dignify it by calling it a book) in a series that should be a turn-off to everyone, Christian or not, who has any respect or admiration for good writing! There is not ONE redeeming feature: The theology is off-base. The characters are portayed in a juvenile manner, and their conversations, actions and reactions, inconsistencies of behavior, etc. make them totally nonrealistic. The plot jumps around from place to place like a crazed grasshopper. Ridiculously improbable coincidences occur again and again (for example: a ditzy flight attendant for whom Rayford the pilot had a yen at the beginning of "Left Behind" becomes the mistress of the ANTICHRIST? ) Please! I am a Christian, but I am dismayed by the response of so many good people to these idiotic books! I have continued to read them in an effort to understand what their appeal is, but I can't take anymore! Christians who have become addicted to the "Left Behind" series need to wake up and remember that this is FICTION... and VERY POORLY WRITTEN fiction, at that. Also, it has become sadly apparent that Jenkins and LaHaye, by grinding out sequel upon sequel of overpadded volumes in large type and with increasingly large page margins, are out to squeeze every dollar they can out of their adoring fans.

Summary: My soul was touched.
Review: Yes, I realize this book is fiction. It is the end result of two men's research and imagination. But I do believe they are inspired by God to touch people's hearts and minds. Legions of people are hungry for the next episode. Why? Because they feel a need to understand, even through a fictional account, what will happen in the future. These books, based on the Holy Bible, give even more hope for our life after death with the simple acceptance of Jesus Christ as the Son of God. I have thoroughly enjoyed the characters in these books, their successes and failures, their "humanity", and their courage in living through a time we would all rather never have to face. The Indwelling is the most frightening of the entire series thus far, and it appears the future for the Tribulation Force will be even more terrifying. But we all know the end of the story. Thank God.
