Rating: 4 stars
Summary: funny in a heart-wrenching sort of way...
Review: I picked up this book along with "Running with Scissors" Although I enjoyed the first memoir very much, the writing of "Dry" was filled with more raw honesty. I found it to be more engaging and heartfelt. As far as the writing itself, I still think that David Sedaris is better at the sarcastic humor that Burroughs tries to convey. But overall, a good read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Augusten Burroughs At His Best
Review: "Dry" is an extraordinary memoir that tells of a life filled with addictions. A haunting of his past. I personally liked "Running With Scissors" better than this book, but both books are excellent works. Mr. Burroughs hands you his life within the pages and makes you understand so much about his world and the hardships that addictions can cause. I rate it up there with all of his works as well as that of David Sedaris and Katlyn Stewart

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: More disturbing and more rewarding than Running W Scissors
Review: The sequal to Running With Scissors is even more disturbing and more rewarding; a much more mature work and one that haunts you long after you finish reading it.
