Rating: Summary: Better than Good Trek novel, that could use a little more... Review: The book is good, and Shatner is a capable author, but the ending falls short. I like the complexity of the story, and the plot twists, but at the end it's reduced to three old geezers that were once Kirk, Spock, and McCoy, sitting on the Bridge insulting each other. The ending could have used a little more punch.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic! This is a great followup to the last Trek movie. Review: Mr. Shatner has done a wonderful job picking up the story from the movie and providing us with alot of action from chapter to chapter. Only William Shatner could possibly have included all the nuance's of all the characters involved and tied everything together so nicely! I couldn't put it down. Paramount..please make this the next Trek movie!!
Rating: Summary: "The Return" is one of Star Trek's best!!! Review: "The Return" is my favorite Star Trek novel. Shatner's plot with the Borg and the Romulans is ingenious. Plus, with the brainwashing factor, it partially answers the question: If Picard and Kirk got into a brawl, who would win? Even if it was, in my opinion, a stalemate. Plus, Shatner's prologues and epilogues are like none other I've read. "The Return" begins with Kirk's death on Veridian III, much like "Avenger" starts with the end of "The Return". Shatner has done a great job on this series, and I can't wait to read "Spectre".
Rating: Summary: Fantastic!!!!!!!!! Review: The Return was the first book I have read by Shatner and I think it was great! I am planning on reading Avenger. In The Return I almost thought Spock was really assimilated. It was GREAT!!
Rating: Summary: Magnificent!! Review: This is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. The end shocked me almost as much when I found out William Shatner could write this well.
Rating: Summary: A great book... Review: This was a great book. It had vivid images, a great story line, and was well worth reading.
Rating: Summary: Great Book..... BUT Review: Hey, this book is one of the best, but I must say that to bring Kirk back to life again (kind of) is pretty stupid. I don't think Shatner should have included the borg in his reincarnation. He could have had them come into the picture later. I think the brainwash or something like that was a great idea. Even the going after Picard was a good idea. I love Kirk, I mean my e-mail address even has his middle name in it. It was a awesome book.
Rating: Summary: This one's the best :- Paramount!! - Make it into a Movie!!! Review: I can't really add to what has been written by my fellow readers. If anyone reading these reviews is from Paramount pictures - take note and start shooting!! If Mr Shatner is reading this, for our sakes, please put pressure on Paramount - and by the way "well done!"
Rating: Summary: shatner fans will live this book. Kirk saves 24th century Review: Shatner takes kirk into the 24th century. With help from fellow enterprise captain, Jean-luc Picard, Kirk makes sure the Borg will never be a threat to the universe as a whole again.
Rating: Summary: This is the BEST star trek novel ever written! Review: William Shatner uses his wonderful imagination to bring back Captain Kirk from the dead. William Shatner shows off his knowledge of theoretical physics in his descriptions of 'hyperspace'. This book kept me entrigued throughout the entire novel. It is just an awesome book!
