Summary: Great! Great!
Review: i thought that MHC wrote a wonderful book. I read it in about two days and I had a a tough time putting it down. I would recommend it to her fans.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Just awful!
Review: Mary Higgins Clark at her worst. Truly an unexciting plot with unexciting characters. I'm now sorry I stuck with it all the way to the end, and even sorrier I wasted money on it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not as good as some, but much better than the last few!
Review: I didn't find Ms. Clarks latest formulaic at all. It wasn't as good as Weep No More My Lady or Loves Music, Loves to Dance, but I liked it a lot better than the last few. It wasn't quite as suspenseful, but I had a harder time figuring out the killer in this one. I had him pegged by the second chapter in the last two! All in all, I found it to be a very enjoyable read.

Summary: would give it 0 stars if I could
Review: The worst part of this book is that I paid good money for it. It is just plain awful. Poorly defined characters, hackneyed plot, and badly written dialogue. Skip this one!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It was GREAT.
Review: It truly was one of those you could not put down. I believe I spent 3 days reading it. It was another great from Mary Higgins Clark.

Summary: IT WAS SO INTRESTING, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!!!
Review: After Mary Higgins Clark autographed "We'll meet again", I hurried home and after I opened it up to read, I could not put it down. From the beginning it drawn me in. It made wonder if Molly Lasch really killed her husband, or did Dr. Peter Black, or Cal, or his mistress, or Wally. It made me read carefully to all the words each character said and did. I love her books because each chapter is a cliffhanger. This is a very, very good book. It is very captivating and makes you think. It is one of best written book!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: No one to root for in this formula novel!
Review: The lack of a sympathetic character made this book hard to finish - the only thing that kept me going was the fact that I'd bought it in hardcover. The Mary Higgins Clark formula plot did not work this time around, especially at the end with a most anti-climactic confrontation scene. A big disappointment.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not one of her best!
Review: I was a little disappointed in this book. The plot just seemed to drag on and on with very little action. I put the book down several times and was almost tempted just to turn it back in to the library. Whatever you do, don't buy it!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: This is her worst book ever!!!
Review: The premise of the book- "young wife with amnesia kills husband who happens to be a doctor and no-one believes in her innocence except for a scrappy reporter with a past" plays like a bad detective novel with a really dense set of supporting characters. This book was definitely not the caliber of earlier Mary Higgins Clark. The character's are one dimensional and the dialog is sometimes hilarious and often stilted (no-one talks or thinks this way). It appears that this one is simply a book that she had to write to get the publishers off her back.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Better than the last few... but same suspense elements!
Review: Here last few books have been pretty bad... they made me stop buying Clark in hardcover; I get them from the library now. But this one was much better... the plot was more intresting and mangaed to hold my interest. But... must she always use that itty bitty sound or word that some character just CAN'T remember until the very end right when they're about to be killed? And how about a slightly different ending than... 'victim is about to be killed, but figures out what's going on too late; other people figure it out and rush to her rescue...' It's been done, Mary, by yourself over and over. Luckily, the attempted bombing was thrown in there too.

And was it just me, or did no one else care about the characters all that much? Most of them seemed to be spoiled rich people... I didn't even like Fran all too much... Clark didn't do too good of a job convincing me that she really cared about anything besides the news show.
