Rating: Summary: Wonderfully Mysterious!! Review: This is defnitely one of my favorite Nancy Drew mysteries. I am an avid reader and Nancy Drews are my especial favorites. This one was extremely descriptive, but I read it in the Just as You Remember them version. But any version is very very very good.
Rating: Summary: Surprizingly Good Review: This is one of my favorites, simply because I like books that have to do with secret passages, secret rooms or in this case, hidden staircases. This is the only Nancy Drew book that I ever really liked. In this book, Nancy finds a hidden stair case and unravels a surprizingly insteresting mystery. Most Nancy Drew mysteries are boring and the mysteries are too easy to figure out but not this one.
Rating: Summary: The Hidden Staircase by Carolyn Keene Review: This review concerns the original 1930 edition as well as the revised 1959 edition which closely follows the plot of the original, with a few minor changes. A couple of elderly ladies ask for Nancy's help in discovering the truth behind the mysterious things occuring at their house. In my opinion, this is the best book of the series and the only one that I would rate 5 stars. The book was rather well-written and the final few chapters were very interesting and really made me want to read more. My only problem with this book is it's title. I feel that the title, while very appropriate, gives away too much information about the mystery.

Rating: Summary: The Hidden Staircase Review: This story is about a 18-year-old girl named Nancy Drew who likes to solve mysteries. She mostly solves her mysteries with her two best friends, Bess Marvin and George Fayne. One day, another friend of Nancy's called and told her there is another mystery for her to solve. Her friend Helens said that her aunt and her mother lives in a haunted mansion in Cliffwood where they sometimes see weird images coming out of the walls and weird noises coming out of nowhere. Helen's aunt is frightened and Nancy has to solve the mystery quickly. Finally, Nancy had found the people who had caused the trouble. A man was interested in the mansion after he had found a book where it tells the secret passage entrances in the mansion. The man planned to scared the women away, so he can buy it and get rich. Nancy had solved the mystery and the mansion is no longer haunted with such a cruel man.
Rating: Summary: The Hidden Staircase by Carolyn Keene Review: This story is about an 18 year old detective named Nancy Drew. Her aunt Rosemary owned a mansion. There had been some strange things happening that were frightening the people living there. It was up to Nancy to figure out who was frightening them and why. Nancy did every thing she could, such as looking for footprints. But she, at first, was unsuccessful.Nancy wanderd how a person could come in the mansion without leaving any signs. This stunned Nancy but did not stop her from solving the mystery.Eventually she found a hidden staircase leading to a nother mansion owned by someone else.Nancy's aunt knew nothing of this secret staircase. To find out how Nancy finds the hidden staircase and who was frightening them, you must read this book.I found that the story was at times to predictable because of the title of the book.I kept wondering when the hidden staircase would be found. I liked it however that Nancy had a friend to help figure out the mystery.Over all I enjoyed this book and would reccomend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: One Of The Best Review: This, in my opinion, is the best Nancy Drew book in the series. It had everything you could possibly want in a mystery book except for one thing: the title of the book gives away the ending!
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Nancy Drew Review: When I was nine, I picked up my mother's copy of "The Hidden Staircase" (1930's edition, blue, with yellowed pages that cracked if you bent them), and finished the book in one day. My fervent wish, as I neared the book's conclusion, was that there would be other books with this character still in existence. You can't imagine my joy when I discovered those beautiful yellow spines at my neighborhood E.J. Korvette. (They were $1.19 at Korvette's - $1.50 everywhere else.) I have every hardcover Nancy Drew - and now my two oldest daughters have had a chance to experience her as well. There is much to be learned in all the books. Because of Nancy I knew the chemical symbol for gold, where Macchu Picchu was located, and a slew of other things well before we learned them at school. Love the books...and love this one the most.
