Summary: My Kids Want Me To Read This Again And Again!
Review: A magical tale with children. Animals come alive in this bright and colorful book written in rhyme. Captivating to children, this book is appealing when introducing the concept of numbers and to those who already count. The finale warms the heart of every reader and listener. A sure winner in our family!

Summary: One of our favorites!
Review: I love this book almost as much as my 2 year-old does. It has GREAT illustrations and fun rhymes, making it a pleasure to read. Even after months of reading this book nearly every day, I still like it. Aside from the obvious counting lessons, there are other things to be learned from this book for kids; my son is very interested in what all the animals are eating. It also gently teaches flexibility and kindness. Along with Goodnight Moon, I often give this book as a gift. Give yourself one and get this book!

Summary: THANK YOU, FANS!
Review: It's been wonderful hearing from so many enthusiastic fans of my book, DINNER AT THE PANDA PALACE! Here are the answers to questions I'm often asked:

1. Aside from DINNER AT THE PANDA PALACE, what books have you written? I've written over 100 books, including THE PRINCIPAL'S NEW CLOTHES; ROSIE, A VISITING DOG'S STORY, MARIGOLD AND GRANDMA ON THE TOWN and THE GATOR GIRLS series with Joanna Cole.

2. How did you become a children's book writer? I've always loved children and books, which led me to teach elementary school, become a children's book editor, and now write full time.

3. Where did you get the idea for DINNER AT THE PANDA PALACE? I was walking in my neighborhood when I saw a young boy outside a restaurant say to his mother, "Mommy, I'm going to ask for a table for two." Right then I decided to write a counting book. You'll find lots of funny animals, plenty of interesting foods and a message from Mr. Panda about feeling welcome: "No matter how many, no matter how few, there will always be room at the Palace for you!"

I hope you enjoy the book!
