Rating: Summary: The Sun Is Shining Review: "What If God Were The Sun" is an amazing novel. It is one of those books that move you from laughter to tears with a turn of the page just like the passing of days in one's life. John Edward, really out did himself with this wonderful story of family. This is a novel that anyone with a family can relate to. You will get wrapped up in characters like Grandma Rosie and come to love each and everyone one of them. You will feel like you are going through the good and the bad times with this family and enjoy the ride. I give this book 5 stars (I would give it more if allowed) it touched my heart and when it was done I longed for more. John Edward, is amazing all around from his first novel "One Last Time" to his t.v. show "Crossing Over" this novel fits right in at the top. What can I say, I am a true fan and when you give this book a chance you will become one too.

Rating: Summary: What If? Review: "What if God Were the Sun", is a story about the full cycle of life! It's presented as a fictional novel but I got the impression that much of it is autobiograpgical. Prepare yourselves prior to reading it with tissue's near by and if your as sensitive as I, a dish towel will be needed. This wonderful celebration of childhood memories will undoubtedly bring out your own whether you were a single child or a child from a large family. It also covers the times we like to not think of as part of life's cycle; death of our loved ones. John's portrayal of "God as the Sun" makes those difficult times in our lives so much easier to understand. I am certain that this philosophy was passed on to John by his Grandmother and he intern to others that touched his life and now he is passing it on to us. "What if God Were the Sun" will touch your heart and your soul. Thanks John.
Rating: Summary: Grief and Love Review: A beautiful story with the message that grief is the other face of love and that those we love are always with us, even after they have crossed over. The story is simple, easy to read, and full of hope and love.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: A fantastically intriguing book written by a very gifted man. Definitely a must read for believers and nonbelievers alike.
Rating: Summary: A Second Time.... with John. Review: After reading "One Last Time," I wasn't expecting this book to be a novel... as in "fiction." But, I was not disappointed with it, once I dove into the pages. I was enlightened. John's way of incorporating his personal gift into this book makes it worth while! Half way through it, I was convinced it was a true story, not just fiction. Though I don't know if I'm correct about that or not, it feels true when you're reading it. The story envelopes you, and leaves you wondering how John could have tapped into your feelings so thoroughly. This book is worthy of 10 Stars, not just 5. Again, John has touched our lives, as well as the lives on the Other Side... and he's brought both sides together, as one.
Rating: Summary: Full of Surprises Review: After reading One Last Time I was expecting more of an intense format. The book was not intense, until perhaps the ending. I was confused in the beginning as to who was narrating the story. That didn't come together for me until the end because the story actually has two narrators. What surprised and delighted me about this book is the chapter in which this psychic medium describes in detail what the other side is like for us when we cross over. Although I was frustrated when one narrator switched to the other without explanation, the ending left me feeling very satisfied and comfortable. Knowing now who is narrating when, I would enjoy the book more the second time around.
Rating: Summary: The sun will always shine... Review: Although this book appears to have been written from a fictional perspective...it does however suggest that the underlying story is one of John's own personal experience with love and death. Told from the characters point of a view this story does not end with the passing of a loved one. Instead this story transcends the limits of life as most people have been taught to believe and instead gives us hope and reassurance that our connection with our loved ones who have crossed will forever remain intact.
Rating: Summary: Good primer Review: As a fan of John Edward's TV show, Crossing Over, I expected more than what I got in this book. Written rather simply, it would be a great primer for someone who has not been been previously introduced to the concept of the spirit living on after passing. If you have already done some reading and/or study and have some understanding, this book would not offer any depth.
Rating: Summary: Another step in healing... Review: As I closed my completed edition of What if God Were the Sun, and started my makeshift book review with my semi-uninterested husband, his comment was "Vicki if John Edward wrote a recipe book, you would love it". After I threw him that initial look of O whatta you know anyway! I had to agree that yes, I do have a high regard for this enthusiastic lecturer and author. He earns it. His work is just what the Psychic Arts needed in my humble opinion. So here, I go with what is probably a biased review on this new book. This book touches on all of the overwhelming thoughts that sprint through your mind when the inevitable occasion of death enters your life. And I do mean ALL of the emotions! Love, devotion, past admiration and onto those feelings that we sometimes don't speak aloud about, guilty feelings of why didn't I spend more time with them, and the what about me's? How will I ever be able to move ahead? Or a feeling I had when my own mother passed... now my child will be shorted a grandmother! Timmy Callahan shares his private feelings of remorse, remembrance, and reverence on the total impact of life and death, as well as the possibility of life after death. Now is this book a quick cure for someone who has suffered the loss of someone they loved dearly? NO. Because as this book clearly points out, there is no simple treatment for losing a loved one to death. It is a healing process. Cures are quick, where as healing takes time. So many levels of the physical body and mind. Moreover, to come to a place where we can understand the loss due to death, we have to make sure we heal each of those levels. I think the nicest thing this book can provide a reader with, is almost a designed format to take you personally through the transition of all of those feelings that are present in bereavement. It does not matter who you have lost. Timmy speaks on the loss of his mother, his uncle, the grandmother, and even his dog. The ending leaves you with a dose of faith. Even for the reader that sits on the fence of uncertainty on life after death theories, I think you will find yourself recollecting events that may have occurred after the passing of someone dear to you. A similar event that subtly let us know, love does not die.
