The cases are so easy to solve, after sherlock Holmes tells us the clues to the evidences of course! When I was done with this book, I knew so much about Shelock Holmes' personal life and habits through his best friend, Watson's thorough, vivid details. I enjoyed this book a lot because it brings me to a natural state of sleepiness every time I finish reading a case. Read it! :-

It is a model of literary scholarship, with excellent critical introductions from various editors and some very illuminating notes on the tales. It is all beautifully produced, too. A must for Sherlockians.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: No! Please protect us from the reading of Douglas Wilmer Review: For this 1998 recording, the biography of the reader Douglas Wilmer openly states that his first performance as Sherlock Holmes was in 1964.So here, 34 years later, we have our man reprising the role, but through the narrative of Dr Watson, who here sounds rather more like Santa Claus. At times, Wilmer appears to be confused whether he is playing Holmes or Watson, and will change voice mid-sentence. Avoid the Douglas Wilmer recordings at all costs. They are intensely irritating, and ruin what are still half-decent stories.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A great collection of the best Holmes tales. Review: Forget all those new prime time crime shows, this collection is much more entertaining. The fun of this book is really in trying to solve the mystery before Holmes comes up and tells the whole thing, which he always does at the end. This book will make you think and may teach you to perceive more of what you see.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is excellent listening Review: I must admit that I have only started to listen to Sherlock Holmes. However, I think Clive Merrison and Michael Williams must be the best at potraying Holmes and Watson. I only wish I had a list of what tapes they appear on. Amazon only lists a few, but from what I've learned, there are many more. I give this 4 stars.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: codys review Review: My book review was on The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, written by A. Conan Doyle. This was a fantastic book and I advise people who like mysteries or crimes to read this book. The book was written in First person point of view because you feel like your there as the narrator describes the situation there in. This book is broken up into 3 stories the first one is the red headed league, the 2nd is the adventures of the speckled band, and 3rd is the adventures of the copper breach. They are all great mysteries and Mr. Holmes tries to solve each one of them. Sherlock Holmes is a extraordinary detective he is observant of everything. Like in the book he says quote' I see u came by a cart. Yes sir, but how did u know that Mr. Holmes replies I see the mud splattered on your arm in seven places only carts through mud up like that and you have taken a train to get to your cart for I see the train pass in your pocket.' So as you can see Mr. Holmes is a sneaky detective he is also a static character he never changes thorough out the book. The first part of the story is probably one of the best parts but after all it has to be to draw the readers attention. the 2nd story is a great storie and takes a lot of thinking but it isn't as good as the first one, but the last one Is the best one to rap up the book. This book is a fabulous book to read it makes you more careful of your surroundings and makes you look at people more than you usually. do this book is a wonderful book and I recommend it to all readers. Thank you for your time and I hope you will read this book.
