Rating: Summary: As I have Said Before "We Are Many" Review: "Every Man Before He Dies Shall See The Devil". - English Proverb, 1560... Mine wasn't a Near-Death experience. I was awake and very much alive - The trip wasn't much better. I walked around for many years in a struggle - Satanic Warfare can be horrible - with little support system. There are many - ostracized and alone. Many struggling with demons. (Which are not fun creatures to be around - even on a good day ) I paralleled much of what Angie went through. I'm glad that she was able to gain feedback from Betty Eadie. I Like Angie's book. Be wise to not minimize her struggle - Reality is a fragile thing. "You Shall Not, and Need Not, Walk Alone".
Rating: Summary: Sad but untrue Review: Although BTD is a fairly quick and interesting read, I remain unconvinced that the author has actually "crossed over" to the other side. Although she may believe the experience happened, her account varyies too much from the bible to be true. Several things stuck out for me: Pre-existent spirit babies, God the Father as a physical being (apparently in really good shape, too), and especially this sentence: "God the Father told me that He Himself had had a mortal existence on a world like ours and had progressed along a path by choosing good over evil." Hmmm. Compare this to John 1:1, John 1:18, Numbers 23:19, and then to 2 Cor 11:14. I would guess that Ms. Fenimore has had an intense hallucination (seriously, though, she did take a lot of pills), and it would not be a stretch to think that she has been mislead by something or someone appearing as "an angel of light."

Rating: Summary: In many ways more powerful than "Embraced by The Light" Review: For each and every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The same applies to the spiritual realm also. If there is a Heaven, then there is also a Hell. Even though Angie Fenimore went to this place of darkness, her story also speaks of a loving, merciful God who wants only good things for his children. In many ways, this book inspired my hope more than Betty Eadie's wonderul book.
Rating: Summary: Final Warning Against Suicide Review: Here is a final warning on suicide that I feel I need to add as a final closing to my original review titled "A Powerful NDE Account, but Appreciated with Skepticism". As Fenimore's book shows, suicide is not a way out of one's problems in life; in fact, her book vividly shows that the problems one faces in life pales in comparison to the existence in hell that they would face should they commit suicide. Yes, I don't believe that God ever stops loving any of his children, but He has the ultimate "tough-love" program for those who commit suicide, and this "tough-love" program, known as hell, is far, far worse than anything that life can dish out. All I can say is that anyone who is feeling suicidal must seek help immediately. There are people out there to help those who feel at the end of their rope; life has its problems, but nothing in life is worth committing suicide over. In the book, God told Angie, "Life is supposed to be hard", but the problems of life can be turned-around to be used to make the world a better place. This "good coming out of evil" is one of the most beautiful things that a person can choose to do in this life, but this is not possible in hell, for hell is pure evil, so if anyone feels like giving up on life - DON'T. Seek out help from another fellow human being instead, and God will provide the way, but don't wait until it is too late.

Rating: Summary: Musings I left out but want to add to my original review. Review: I don't know if I can "add-on" to my original review titled "A Powerful NDE Account, but Appreciated with Skepticism", but here is what else I meant to say. Given my natural skepticism, my intuition tells me that Angie Fenimore's NDE is genuine. I feel that it is genuine because, if she were making this up, I believe that she would have concocted a totally different NDE scenario. Now whether or not she was actually on the threshold of death is something that I cannot answer, but somebody does not necessarily have to be near death in order to have a profound experience with God. It doesn't matter what served as the "gateway" to her experience, for it shows that we all are subject to God's spiritual laws, that we have the choice to choose between light and darkness. Yet more importantly, even for those souls suffering in the depths of hell, God has not abandoned any single one of them, and they can turn from the darkness to God's loving Light when they are ready, for Jesus already paid the penalty for all people's sins, for all times. Finally, regarding my doubts about the pre-existence of the soul before birth, it is quite possible that some part of us existed prior to our existence in this world. We may very well have had a pre-existence before birth, having lived as spiritual children with God, but I believe that we are not privy to these details in the earth realm, for our energies should be focused on making a better world and spreading God's love in the here and now.
Rating: Summary: Good book Review: I have read this book and I believe it. Anyone else that has posted about suicides going to hell I don't care for your comments, even if they were in the best interest of readers. I don't know where every single suicide goes, and I don't really want firsthand experience. I don't NEED to know. What I DO know is that God cares for every individual on this earth. I know that this woman died. I know that this woman saw what she wrote in this book. I know that she saw God the Father and Jesus the Christ, and that they gave her a second chance in life. I know that the lessons the author teaches in this book are true. I'm glad I bought this book and it has been a blessing for me. Again, I don't know where suicides go, but I know God loves me. He's asked for me to pick up my cross and follow him and thats just what I'm going to do.
Rating: Summary: Praise for Beyond the Darkness Review: I read this incredible book in one night. What a page-turner! Aside from being unique because it shows the dark side of the near-death experience, it was also extremely well written. While many books of this genre are interesting or, at least, amusing, most are not finely crafted. Few, if any, are great literature. This book is a pleasant exception. In Beyond the Darkness, Fenimore shares with the reader a very important message AND a surperb piece of story-telling. Readers, not even interested in the near-death phenomenon, will not be able to put this one down, I guarantee it. It's a real grabber and a tear-jerker, too. Please, Angie, write another book. We love your clean, crisp style.
Rating: Summary: just another fanatic... Review: I totally agree with Missskittti from May of this year. What gives this idiotic fanantic the right to even hint that people who are disturbed enough to commit suicide will go to hell. The truth is.... hell does not exist. Organized religions who want to control you will tell you it does. Does the theory of hell even make any sense to the sane mind? God loves us, do you really believe that he'd condemn someone to hell for all eternity because they were so depressed that they killed themself? Everyone will go through a review when they pass into spirit. But you self-righteous religious fanatics will see first hand at how evil your playing God and condemning people to a place that doesn't even exist except in your warped mind is. It's a good thing that God even loves you phony self-righteous religious fanatics, because if there was a hell, you'd be standing in line!
