Summary: I loved thos book as much as his other!!
Review: Nicholas Sparks has a way of writing that makes you feel like you know his characters personally. Once I began reading reading this book I couldn't put it down.He definitely knows how to capture your attention. Two thumbs up on another fabulous story.Anxiously awaiting the next.

Summary: A love story for all to read
Review: Having read Notebook, which I enjoyed but found a little too sentimental, I was hungry for more of Nicholas Sparks. Message in a Bottle was the answer. I enjoyed it more than Notebook because the characters were more realistic. Also because I am familiar with the N. C. coastline where Garret resides, it hit home. With so much violence and hate in the world, I think we do sometimes overlook what could have been because we are unwilling to change our lives and get involved with other people. Admit it, we are all into a daily rut. Read this book and escape the rut for a while.

Summary: Sad, Romantic and good for a cold, dark winter read.
Review: Message in a Bottle was very nice to read. It was romantic and provacative at the same time. To think of a man so tototally in love and devoted to his wife is to think of fantasy and love at the beginning of a true love relationship. The story offers love, tears, romance and is an overall good read for any woman who loves a great love story. Have your tissues at hand!

Summary: Couldn't finish reading it!
Review: I was definitely disappointed by this one. The plot seemed to hold some promise until I found myself nauseous from the dialogue between these two characters. I found myself frustrated and annoyed by the (not very well-written) book as a whole. Why was this ever a bestseller? I just don't get it.

Summary: Love at first sight meets true love
Review: After having just finished NIcholas Sparks' second book, I have to say that he has an interesting way with words. Although at times the writing seemed juvenile, this made the book all the more interesting.

Summary: Grips the Heart
Review: I live about 45 mins. south of Wilmington, NC and felt right at home while reading Message in a Bottle. I lost my 22 year old brother resently and he was also a lover of the great Atlantic Ocean. He would go on the ocean for days to fish, and just enjoy the great wonders of the sea. I could not stop comparing my brother with Garrett. The tears came early in the story for me and did not stop until well after the book was finished. If you have ever loved and lost, take the time to get to know Theresa and Garrett.

Summary: Another great romance by Nicholas Sparks!
Review: I really enjoyed this book! It wasn't as great as "The Notebook", but I think that book would be hard to beat! Sparks has a great way of bringing you into the relationships of his characters, so you feel the emotions as if they were your own. I can't wait until his next book!

Summary: a touching, and sweet love story.
Review: Nicholas Sparks hits the nail on the head yet again. In Message In a Bottle, Sparks touches on the deeper emotions of love. He weaves a tale so touching and convincing that it will leave the reader wanting to know more. His emotions are truly unique for a man and he is able to convey a sense of love lost and found. This novel will touch your life in a good way. The characters are very well developed and the plot is very sweet. The ending is not what I expected.

Summary: Loved "Notebook"! "Message" total disappointment!
Review: "Notebook" was refreshing. It touched the heart and soul. Whoever I recommended this book to just loved it. Having read such a wonderful book by Sparks, I was anxious to get my hands on his "Message" even paying full price. I felt it would be worth every dollar I spent if it was anything like "Notebook". It wasn't!!! It was a total disappointment. The characters were bland and immature...they lacked real communication skills...the whole story line just too unrealistic and boring. Sorry folks! Thumbs down on this one.

Summary: Great Read for a Rainy Day
Review: This was my first reading of a Nicholas Sparks' work of literature. What a different and exciting treat. The book flows nicely through the storyline and one becomes involved with and feels empathy for all the characters that we learn about. As was to be expected I found myself crying at the end of the book, but felt a small life lesson had been learned and appreciated in the entire process. I have since passed this book on to many of my family, friends, and co-workers, and also find myself giving it as a gift. A great book. Reads quickly, and one to keep in your collection to reread on a whim.
