Summary: Could have been better!!
Review: I had high hopes for this book after read in the Notebook and loving it. I thought Sparks would write about the same honest and natural true love, but I was disappointed by the debth of the book. Garrett and Theresa seemed to fall in love with the idealism of true love, but in the Notebook the theme of true love was naturally and realistically portrayed. I was looking for the same realism of "true love" in Message in the Bottle and did not discover it. The ending was too quick and contrive.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Wonderful, I really enjoyed it.
Review: I really enjoyed this novel. The beginning and the ending were fabulous. The middle was a little slow. I have also enjoyed "The Notebook". Great ideas and surprising storyline. I look forward to the movie.

Summary: Co-dependent adults with the emotional level of teenagers.
Review: Costner, I can believe but Paul Newman doing this one is a disappointment. Co-dependent adults with no emotional maturity. Sparks, did you not have a life? These people behave like teenagers. A relationanship built on deception will never go anywhere. Had I not been stuck in an airplane seat for so mant hours, I would never have finished such drivel.

Summary: Demonstrating Excellence........
Review: If only I could find my one true love, let alone two....but now I believe it is possible.

Thank you Nicholas....for your inspiration!

Summary: A good beach book.
Review: No, it is not a Nobel Prize winner, but it is an enjoyable,no brainer, vacation book. A little contrived but entertaining.

Summary: EXCELLENT!
Review: This book is so much better than the movie. Although the outcome is still terrible, this book was wonderful. If you liked the movie, you must read this book!

Summary: Message in a Bottle was beautiful!
Review: I have never had a book evoke as much emotion as this book did. I cried the last 150 pages. I recently saw the movie and it does no justice to the book what so ever. The book is far better. The story was changed and many important scenes were cut. There are parts in the movie that make no sense due to the cutting of scenes. In the movie you do not get a feel of the love that Theresa and Garrett share. I reccomend this book to all. I cannot believe that a man wrote it either.

Summary: Suspend disbelief, relax and enjoy
Review: If you allow yourself to suspend disbelief and just sit back and enjoy the book, I think you will find it enjoyable and entertaining. After FRIED CALAMARI, this is the most entertaining book I've read this year.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A heart warming (and crushing) romance
Review: This was the most incredible novel I have ever said. I cried my eyes out over the enchanting love story portrayed. Others with whom I shared the book told me they thought it was very predictable, and consequently not a tear-jerker. I don't understand how the romance was predictable- the story kept me on the edge the whole way through (which, by the way, only took a day because I couldn't put it down!). A great read, much better than the movie.
