Rating: Summary: One of the Best Books You'll Read! Review: "Vision gives significance to the otherwise meaningless details of our lives," the author tells us. He goes on to talk about how God is interested in the visions of each area of our lives. Using Nehemiah's rebuilding of the wall in the Old Testament as an illustration, he describes how God works behind the scenes in the lives of those who pursue His vision. This book is highly reflective, by that I mean he has questions at the end of the chapters that help you to plug into the points being made. What he's ultimately discussing is the life well-lived. In seeking God's vision for one's life, faith and total dependence on God are essential. In living such a life, one is in pursuit of God, the Giver of the dream. Glorifying God becomes more important than accomplishing tasks. Ultimately fulfillment comes from connecting with the Creator.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I'VE EVER READ Review: "Visioneering" is an outstanding book!!! It has helped me very much in understanding everything involved in receiving visions from God (A vision is God's idea not yours)and in how they are implemented. The chapters dealing with subjects of how visions frequently take a long time to come about and the chapters relating to the leader's moral integrity are worth the price of the book by themselves. "Visioneering" is highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rating: Summary: The Best! Review: A friend loaned me this book the week before I was to make a major proposal regarding a vision the Lord had given me. It was absolute confirmation of the direction I was going and the best I have ever read on the subject. I would highly, highly recommend it to anyone who has the slightest fear about stepping out in faith!
Rating: Summary: One of the BEST books on leadership and vision I've read! Review: Andy Stanley is an excellent author and story teller. This book is one of the best books on leadership/vision that I've read in a long time. Andy has taken a fresh and very practical approach to the subject of vision and leadership. These are principles that are applicable to everyone - not just those in a "ministry" or "professional" position. This is a MUST read for those in a transitional period in their life or for anyone who would like to enrich their life.
Rating: Summary: A Compass for Your Personal Mission in Life Review: Andy, through his unique story-telling style of writing, has provided a literary compass to either confirm or deconstruct "that idea that you have" for the "really big thing" that has been consuming your thoughts. For those on the other end of the spectrum, those that are clueless about what they are really supposed to doing with their lives, he offers insight as to how to begin to address this issue. Thought-provoking, yet funny, readers will finish the book not only with a greater appreciation of Nehemiah's management challenge, but a practical roadmap of how to address the bigger issues in their own lives. READ THIS BOOK - AND THEN GIVE IT TO A FRIEND
Rating: Summary: Helps you focus on your purpose Review: As the leader of a non-profit organization I am constantly trying to determine where we should be going and what we should be doing. This book has helped me to clarify our vision and be a more effective group. The section on determining the difference between a vision, which is what could be and should be, versus a plan, which is our best guess on how to accomplish our vision, was especially helpful.
Rating: Summary: excellent Review: At first, I could not tell if this book was a Christian book or a Corporate self-help book. I did like the book and the solid teaching it gives the reader
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS THE BOMB! Review: God gave me a business vision (Kingdom Business Centers) that seems almost as big as Him. During a recent business meeting, one of the attendees lent me her copy of VISIONEERING which I read in one day. This book was SO LOADED with confirmation that I now have no doubt whatsoever that my business vision will come to pass. Now I'm ordering my own copy to mark up, plus the tapes to share with others who have business visions. IF YOU ARE ATTEMPTING ANYTHING ABOVE AND BEYOND YOUR KNOWLEDGE, CAPABILITY AND RESOURCES, THIS IS A MUST READ...OVER AND OVER!
