Summary: A Wonderful World
Review: This book was one of Roald Dahl's best books ever.It is about a little girl named Sophie that saw a giant and was taken from her orphanege. The person that took her said he is the Big Frendly Giant. This story would probaly be for 2nd grade and up. I liked this book because the BFG talks funny. I also like this book because Roald Dahl explains what his storys are about.

She's frightened about giants and she stays up late. She hears these noises and looks out the window. The giant takes her home and they get in to mischief. I think it is funny! Read it and find out!

Summary: The BFG by Roald Dahl
Review: Evidently not even Roald Dahl could resist the acronym craze of the early eighties. BFG? Bellowing ferret-faced golfer? Backstabbing fairy godmother? Oh, oh ... Big Friendly Giant! This BFG doesn't seem all that F at first as he creeps down a London street, snatches little Sophie out of her bed, and bounds away with her to giant land. And he's not really all that B when compared with his evil, carnivorous brethren, who bully him for being such an oddball runt. After all, he eats only disgusting snozzcumbers, and while the other Gs are snacking on little boys and girls, he's blowing happy dreams in through their windows. What kind of way is that for a G to behave?
The BFG is one of Dahl's most lovable character creations. Whether galloping off with Sophie nestled into the soft skin of his ear to capture dreams as though they were exotic butterflies; speaking his delightful, jumbled, squib-fangled patois; or whizzpopping for the Queen, he leaves an indelible impression of bigheartedness. (Ages 9 to 12) --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

Luckily for Sophie, the BFG is nothing like his neighbors, whose favorite pastime is guzzling little children.

Summary: An awesome book!
Review: Imagine that you are in an ordinary orphanage on a ordinary night, and all of a sudden a big mysterious black figure walks down the street and grabs you right out of your bed.

Sophie is the ordinary girl that is grabbed out of her orphanage bed and taken away toa weird and mystical land of Giants. The mysterious figure turns out to be the BFG (Big Friendly Giant). The BFG speaks the strangest language, with words such as: gogglers meaning eyes, ucky slush meaning gross, babblement meaning conversation, frisby meaning cold and wizzpopers meaning passing gas.The BFG is not like the other giants, he is much too nice and jumbly. The other giants (Fleshlumpeater, Bonecruncher, Manhugger, Childchuer, Meatdripper, Bloodbottler and the Butcher Boy) are very evil. Every night they run off to different countries to eat humans. Sophie hates them especially for that. Sophie becomes friends with the BFG, and explores the Giants world. The BFG has many secrets. One is that he gives children good dreams or bad dreams. Sophie has many close encounters with the Giants -- like the time the Bloodbottler ate her hiding spot! Sophie thinks the cannybully giants are terrible, so she tries to think of a plan to stop them once and for all. Her plan is that she will get the BFG to mix a dream that will describe to the queen of England what is going on. Will be queen believe them? Read and find out

I think it the BFG is a funny and joyful book. I think the best part is the Giants language. My favorite character is of course the BFG. He's so jolly and he always looks on the bright side of life.

Summary: The great, the amazing, the funny BFG!
Review: Pretend you are an orphan looking out your bedroom window in the middle of the night. You can't sleep. Suddenly you see a dark shadow moving towards you. It is huge! Then it grabs you! This is what happened to Sophie.

Sophie was just a normal orphan in a normal orphanage. But all that changed one night. Sophie couldn't sleep so she got up to look out the window. She looked down the street. There was a HUGE thing approaching. It turned and looked at Sophie! Then suddenly it reached its humongous hand and grabbed Sophie! He took her away to his cave.

You would think the giant would eat Sophie right? Wrong. Actually he is the nicest giant in Giant Country. He is the BFG (Big Friendly Giant.) But spoiling their fun are the human bean guzzlers: The Fleshlumpeater, the Childchewer and many more. They are horrible man-eating giants. They just must be stopped. So Sophie comes up with a plan. But will it work? Read the
book to find out.

I think The BFG is an hilarious book. Why is it so funny you ask? Well, the BFG has never been to school. So he doesn't speak properly. Some of his words are: Jumbly, phizzwizard, trogglehumper, snozzcumbers, frobscottle and many more. The BFG has a good plot with some twists and turns. My favorite chapter is Frobscottle and Whizzpoppers. It is really funny. Why? Well guess what a Whizzpopper is. (Hint: it is very rude and gassy.) Want I didn't like about this book is... well actually I loved all of it! It's just so hilariously funny, amazingly interesting and suspenseful. My favorite character is... the great, the amazing, the funny BFG!! I could read this book over and
over and over again!!!

Summary: The Story of the BFG
Review: This was a very interesting book. I liked the idea of the BFG blowing dreams into children's windows, which made the children have nice dreams. The BFG gave the dreams odd names like Golden Phizzwizard. I think children should read this book because the author tells the story using vocabulary in a funny way. For example, he calls helicopters bellyhoppers. This book will keep you interested in finding out how the army and airforce will find and catch the giants. The giants must be found to stop them from guzzling humans. Read this book to see if they get caught. I wonder if you will wish that they get caught like I did when I read the book.
