Summary: You won't be able to put it down!
Review: My husband handed me a copy of Deep Six about 5 years ago to read the preface, and I never gave it back. I've been hooked on Dirk Pitt ever since. Deep Six is my first and favorite Cussler novel, he knows how to keep the reader interested. Great adventures, you won't want to put them down!

Summary: Pitt beats up wheelchair bound lil' ol Korean ladies¿
Review: Politicians performing a vanishing act? Evil, old Korean female business tycoons who will poison the world for the allmighty dollar? Russian mind control? Yep, sounds like a Cussler novel to me!

Here it is, Cussler fans! More cornball adventure and espionage to satisfy your hunger for corruption and wrong that only the amazing and infallible Dirk Pitt can circumvent. Min Koryon, who is just as old as she is evil has built her shipping empire at the expense of human suffering. For the grand finale in her long repertoire of promoting evil, she has entered into a pact with the Russians to kidnap the President of the United States and implant a microchip in his brain. This chip will have more influence on the President's decisions than any lobbyist, political action committee or White House intern could ever dream of having... if things go as planned... and... dear reader, get ready for this.... They DO!

Pitt once again fictitiously proves that he requires no sleep and has more lives than nine cats. With wounds that would kill mere mortals, he leaps from a hospital bed in a single bound to save the world in the knick of time. His lovely lady, Loren, the perfectly coifed and manicured politician with a long leash on Dirk and even longer legs joins him in his adventure. In keeping with tradition, Cussler makes sure that Pitt manages to save the day in the most unexpected of ways.

The pages of this Cussler novel manage to turn all by themselves, dear reader. All you have to do is sit in for the action and aqua-adventure. So breast stroke on over to your favorite reading chair, turn on your underwater reading light and give this better than usual Cussler/Pitt adventure a look.

Summary: Almost Too Much Fun
Review: Ridiculous beyond belief? Yes. Fun? Oh yeah. The King of thriller fluff tops himself with this one. Put your brain on hold and you'll have lots of fun reading Deep Six. There is so much going on here it's amazing. And the ending is worth three Hollywood movies.

Summary: A Book of Books
Review: The book Deep Six is written by Clive Cussler. I think the theme of the book is "love gives you the power to fight for what you beleive". I do agree with the theme, and i think that if you love something or someone that love alone should be enough to get you through the worst of times. It relats to me because I love God and I think that and his love love can get me through anything.
What I really liked about this book is that it combines love, action, adventure an things that can't possibly happen in real life all in one book.I also like the fact that it deal with the government, secret missions and things that we don't think can or will happen.Another feature that I liked is that Dirk Pitt, although he works for an Underwater Marine Agency, he still solves crimes, saves someone that he cares about, and saves the U.S. from soviet rule. To do this he has to break the law but it is alright because he works for the government and covers his tracks discretely. Clive Cussler does a good job at, which in my opinion is brilliant, having completely different things at the start of the book and have them all tie together in the end. On page 139 when Admiral Sandecker said when referring to Pitt's press conference, "The President won't see it that way, if he wasn't in New Mexico we would be picking our butts out of the White House carpet." I thouht this was one of the funniest quotes in the book.
I would recommend this book to people that like to read things that have suspense and mystery. If you like action and adventure mixed with a little bit of love then this book is one you should read. If those things are not appealing to you then leave this book alone. I say this because all these characteristics intertwine with each other to make this an exhilirating book.

Summary: Sam M./Miller Place NY
Review: This book starts off with a prelude. The prelude starts with a lady named Arta Casilighios who worked at a bank. One day she was walking and she found a lost passport with the name of Estelle Wallace. She slipped the passport in her purse and took it home. She took time to change her looks so she could look as closely as possible to Estelle Wallace. She has a plan to steal a money from her bank when everyones gone so she can move away and change her name. She gains a total of 128,000 dollars. She looks in the paper and looks for departures of ships that are leaving out of San Francisco. Arta chooses the ship the San Marino a old strong cargo ship from 1943. While she's on the boat the whole crew is a Korean crew, and one nite while she is sleeping some one of the Korean crewmembers comes and kills her.

Along the West coast up towards Alaska there is a weird chemical in the water that is killing off boats and people that go near it. The president of the United Sates of America is planing a boat trip on the Eagle a boat that every president has had important meetings on since Theodore Roosevelt. None of the secret service men don't think this is a good idea because of the chemical that is spreading in the water that once some one touches they are dead instantly. So they call Dirk Pit. A James Bond type of character that is going to help solve the chemical problem and make sure that the president doesn't get hurt. The president is goes on the Eagle to discuss some kind of plan with the Soviet Union, on the boat is the same Korean crew guy that killed Arta Casilighios. Dirk Pitt is on another boat trailing the Eagle and making sure nothing happens. Then one night The Eagle is missing and can't find it. There is a plan that captured the boat, and now find out the Soviet Union is behind this to.

I really like this book because it had two of my favorite genres in one. It was a mystery but also a action book. This book made me want to keep on reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.

I would recommend this book to whoever likes mystery and action books. I think people would like this book because it makes you think and wonder what is going to happen next

Summary: Not what I expected.
Review: This is the second Cussler book I read, Inca Gold being the first. I thought Inca Gold was awesome, but Deep Six just doesn't live up to the former. It's still an enjoyable read, so pick it up.

Summary: Another piece of sheer entertainment!
Review: Yes, Clive Cussler has done it again. This is one of his best and definitely one of his most entertaining novels. Sheer, non-stop escapism. Forget some of the seemingly far-fetched ideas that seem inspired by James Bond movies and ENJOY! I won`t want to give more plot away, read it for yourselves. This would make a great movie actually.

Summary: John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, James Bond, Dirk Pitt
Review: You want character development and real-world men and women, read something else. You want good, old-fashioned excitement, danger and adventure, read Cussler's Dirk Pitt. Great escape! Mr. Cussler, when do we get to see the movie? Why are the only reviews attached to this book by people from Utah?
