Stuart Little is about a mouse born into a human family, known as the Little's. Stuart soon realizes that being small is hard work and he has to get himself out of many tough situations. Such as falling down drains, being chased by Snowbell, the family cat, and drowning in the sink or bathtub. This is an excellent adventure/animal book for kids and I recommend it to everyone.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: E.B. White is Great; Stuart Little not so great. Review: I read Stuart Little to my daughter in preparation for going to see the movie. At times the book was difficult for a 6 year old to understand. Stuart in the book is not as loveable as I had hoped he would be. Instead of being a cute little mouse, he is more like a little man, and not very appealing after a bit of reading. I've never suggested this before...but if this is for a child...skip the book, see the movie.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It is more than it looks Review: I am always searching for E.B. White's books to read after finishing this special books. Although it looks like a children book but in reality it consists of many adult experiences like traveling, sailing, searching for something unachievable. It seems to me this book describes E.B. White's perception of life. After reading all the previews, I found many readers dislike the "never" ending of the story. But, I tend to appreaciate it more maybe because I read it at the age of 25 - the ending is about this adventerous being always searching for something perfect but even though he cannot find what he wants, he is still searching for it. This thought maybe very difficult for children to understand, but they would see the meaning behind the "sharp" ending if they are to read it again in their adulthood... If you read Eassy of E.B. White, you will appreciate more about the travelling of Stuart Little and not his destination. You would appreciate it more if you set out to travel to a different place away from your world, and enjoy every part of the journey among all the unpleasant happening. It is all about meeting interesting people and exchanging thoughts. Some children may have difficulties appreciating the sailing race, terms like boom and gybe... Learn to sail if you want to know what the E.B. White like so much about his hobby, sailing. This is the only book that is close to my heart...

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Please watch the movie instead of reading the book. Review: I have seen the movie Stuart Little way before I read the book. And the book was just not good. It begins when Stuart Little was born to Mr. & Mrs. Little. In the movie, Mr. & Mrs. Little take Stuart Little in to thier home (even though he was not born to them). One Day Mrs. Little loses her ring. And sends down Stuart to get it. She lost it in the drain of the bathtub. In the book, they like ping-pong. In the movie they never say that they like ping-pong. One Day, when Stuart was about 3 years old, Mrs. Little is not smart and though he was in the hole in the hose. When he really was in the shade. Even in the movie, Mrs. Little is not smart. Don't make me go that far. Later on in the book, a bird named Margalo shows up. The movie is mostly diffrent from the movie. Expect for there is the boat named the Wasp. But not owned by George Little.

The little faimly adopted Stuart. Their cat, Snowball, isn't that friendly when she encounters Stuart. Margalo is a little bird that flies into the Littles window. She turns out to be Stuart's best friend in the end. In the middle of the story, Stuart takes off in search of the bird that he adores. Stuart goes through many towns in his little car that he took from his older brother George. I would recommend this story to 4th through 6th grade students because of the mischievous adventures that Stuart encounters on his long journey to find his long lost friend Margalo. You will never be able to put this story down. Find out what happens to Margalo.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The book was great Review: An adventurous, heroic little mouse is and has been living a normal human lifestyle with a human family. As being part of the family he does many things for it. For example, Mrs. Little drops her ring down the drain of the bathroom tub and can't get it out, Stuart goes in and gets it. When the Little's play ping pong and the ping pong ball goes somewhere off the table Stuart gets it. Even though he does a lot of work for the other Little's he is treated well and is very loved, not just for his work. Stuart has a problem. Margalo is missing and Stuart has to leave to go find this special friend. Margalo is Stuarts loving and caring bird friend. Read, as Stuart goes on his journey to find his good friend and to watch him stumble into more, new exciting adventures. I was interested throughout the whole entire story. From Rowing down streams, up in trees, to walking through the tall wet grasses. Adventure after adventure. You might even catch yourself laughing. I recommend this book to all readers interested. Well written and understandable.
