Summary: Need a breather or feel unfulfilled? Read this book!
Review: I devoured this book over the weekend. While I found the writing somewhat verbose, many of the author's points resonated with me. I don't consider myself a religious person, and I (happily) didn't find this to be a religious book. If you feel like something's missing in your life, and you're suffering from workaholism or other unhealthy addictions, take a break and READ THIS BOOK! While I didn't find the content to be profound, I found it contained good goals to which to strive for in going through life's journey. Great motivators/rationale to take charge and choose your responses to the situations life presents to you.

Summary: A transformational book for "the rest of us."
Review: I first read this book three years ago and found that it helped me to bring together many of the ideas and philosophies that I had discovered over the years that "spoke to my Soul." During the process of reading this book, which took me several days, I experienced a gradual integration of many diverse spiritual concepts into one big "AH-HAH! I FINALLY UNDERSTAND NOW!" Zukav's conversational writing style is enjoyable and inspiring. He is a good teacher, presenting concepts in an orderly fashion which build upon themselves. As a result, the book starts out a little slow, but gradually gains momentum until by the end of the book you discover that you possess a new, fuller understanding of "Why you exist AND how to take charge of your own spiritual awakening." I just finished reading Seat of the Soul for the second time and I find its clarity just as inspiring as before. If you are searching to expand your understanding of life and the world around you, this book will certainly provide you with some valuable insights. The truths contained within this book are universal and can be complimentary to whatever religious/spiritual beliefs you have. Very empowering!

Summary: Difficult to keep my concentration on ist message.
Review: My appologies to Oprah, but I cannot concure with her on the quality of the words within this book. And beyond the words I looked for a message and could find none. In the first few chapters Mr. Zukav recommends we listen to our inner voice to determine the truth of something. I did, and both of us cannot grasp the written message of the book. I read a book a week or more and have knowledge of readable writing that has a message. I recommend a do not buy.

Summary: Well written but unsurprising
Review: I found this attempt at an integration of new age ideas with hard science interesting but problematic. The book's use of words that appear to have a meaning of their own but which are only definable on a personal basis was a recurring problem for me. The book offers nothing new but does review interesting material.

Summary: ALIGN YOUR PERSONALITY WITH YOUR SOUL
Review: The Seat of the Soul began as a book called Physics and Consciousness. I intended to share the striking parallels that were evident between the concepts of quantum physics and the concepts of depth psychology, as well as the many historical ties between the founders of each. The book had turned into a three-volume project when a very dramatic thing happened to me. I discovered nonphysical reality. I had glimpsed it while I was writing The Dancing Wu Li Masters: An Overview of the New Physics. Now it came to stage center in my life. Summary: Truth and wisdom
Review: I have had this book for about five years, and have given away several copies of it to those near and dear to me. It speaks volumes of truth and wisdom, without being smarmy, preachy, or trying to sell anything. It is head and shoulders above most "new age" type books. I am buying it again, as I gave away my last copy.

Review: For eveyone who has been on a spiritual quest and has asked a miliion "why's" , here you will find your answers. With a scientist's mind and a spiritual & loving heart, Gary Zukav knows how to make life's mysteries understandable. I have had this book for 4 years and have read it over and over again. Everytime I read it, I get something different from it as my own consciouness evolves. Covered are such subjects as:"PURPOSE,RELATIONSHIPS,ADDICTIONS, SOUL, INTUITION, & LIGHT (what it really is ) I consider it "My Bible". This book offers truth and guidance for all believers and truth seekers of all faiths and gives you such wisdom and clarity of understanding. Here is practical advise to take into your own life experence and tells how you can make it better and become more of the person you were meant to be and fulfill the life purpose that you were sent here for. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It WILL change your life, the way you think and your whole outlook on life and who you really are. It continues to give you higher spritual guidance and growth every time you read it. The explanations and advise given in this book is raising the consciousness of thousands of people, to make this world a more kind and loving place, where we can understand our role in it and what we each contribute to make it what it is today. We are more powerful and wonderful than we can ever imagine. Read this and find the answers to all of your questions.

Summary: This book is a source of peace for me
Review: This book is written beautifully. While many of the author's claims cannot be verified easily, anyone who has made even casual observation of life around, will not disagree with what the author has to say about our evolution, cause and effects. It is a powerful book which explains the unexplainable.
