Summary: knowledge, a gift or learned?
Review: will a man or woman whom dies in a victims death before the age of reason allways remain less? Or does knowledge favor answers of discovery more than suferring? Does not the eight year old know different, heliocentric and or earth. A answer; yes he knows more than history wise'est will ever know in science only. But true wisom is found in the backyard of any mans' mind. No matter what science learns tomorrow it becomes the knowledge of a child. So

Summary: Everyone should give this gem a look, it opens eyes &hearts
Review: I am writing this, my first review, because I want to respond to the several negative reviews I read about this book prior to buying it on-line. I merely want to say that I am glad I disregarded the negative responses and explored Zukav's insights myself. He has some wonderful insights into life. I am reminded of the great Zen philosopher who said that fools when shown wisdom will reject it as foolishness. That is how I feel about the negative reviews that were written about this book. I also have the audio tape which I like even better as it makes my commute something worthwhile. For those of you who are open and perhaps looking for meaning, love and purpose in your life I highly recommend this book. We all have choices we can make. As Zukav explains in depth, those choices define us and the path of our life and soul. He explores how we come face to face with those choices and how we can seek love rather than darkness. He explains it in a way that most of us would not think of on our own and thus, enlightens us.

Summary: good introductory book for many
Review: I liked some of the material but I was expecting more depth. Maybe I'm spoiled by the Seth books or the new book THE CRUCIFIXION-WHAT REALLY HAPPENED AND WHY where the illusion of physical reality is shown more powerfully.

Summary: Buyer Beware!
Review: Simply put, Gary Zukav is a scientist in New Age clothing. I found his ideas regarding the souls of animals distressingly Cartesian. Nor does Mr. Zukav give credit to the many religious and metaphysical authorities that so heavily inform his work. Many of the principles he shares can be found in the rich symbolism of the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita. Endorsement from the richest and most persuasive talk show host in the country has given this book an unfair advantage over other informative and relevant books on the same subject. I would suggest "Seth Speaks" and the entire "Seth" series of books to any one who is searching for the nature of the "soul." I got more out of reading texts dictated by the disembodied voice of Seth than I did the mouth of a displaced scientist whose earthly function is to sell books and make television appearances.

Summary: This book is outstanding
Review: Gary Zukov is able to masterfully take very complex subjects and bring them to the readers level of understanding. This book is flat out brilliant. The topics Gary covers are for people who are tired of living, and who need a massive spiritural boost. Get ready for a fast ride.

Summary: Empty calories for Newageophiles
Review: Gary Zukav is, in my view, more businessman than author. His book "Dancing Wu Li Masters" struck me as little more than a reworking of Fritjof Capra's "Tao of Physics", revved up and repackaged for the popular market. Likewise, "The Seat of the Soul" is a lumping together of familiar New Age concepts well-lubricated with lots of touchy-feely phrasing to help it slide down the gullets of those who revel in the bland, feather-bed brand of spirituality presently in fashion. Not much here to get your teeth into unless you have a taste for Pablum.

Summary: Worthy of Making Your Own Judgement
Review: If Oprah thought enough of the wisdom contained in this book to rate it the # 2 book in her life, after the Bible, you have to believe it is worthy of your own soul's judgement of the impact it can make on your life. For the people who reviewed the book negatively, how anyone could mock a work that is so based on love, compassion, and reverance for life, is beyond me. If any of you watched the last Oprah show where the author was the guest, you saw the people who had read the book that were living proof as to how the wisdom in this book had made such a major impact on them and turned their lives around. It was very touching and dramatic and each person expressed their gratitude to Gary for writing the book.

If anyone feels it is really important to know the source of his information, listen to the audio tape "Authentic Power". In this taped interview, he gives all of the details of his own personal experience and tells the extraordinary story as to how the information was revealed to him. If you are curious to know even more about the author, and what he is trying to accomplish for the world, go to his web site, zukav.com.

This book is an absolute treasure. My copy is now so dog-eared and marked up from being read so many times. The wisdom that he provides in the book helps to MAKE SENSE OUT OF LIFE AND GIVES YOU DIRECTION !

Read this book and make your own judgment. You will get back so much from it, if your spirit and heart are open to learn and receive the blessings it has to give.

Summary: Cannot hurt, might help theory.....
Review: Gary Z is soft spoken, mesmerizing and gentle. This, of itself, makes one desire reading his Theory on the Esoteric. Gee, what does he know, that I wish I knew, so I could at least be that at peace? The book reads well, makes one ponder the possibliities of it all, and does not leave one bankrupt ($) in the end. It is an affordable trip to one man's version of the big "Why?" Twas fun....

Summary: A book of Hope
Review: I think this book is just what we need as a society. Sure, you can disagree with what Gary says or you may question his interpretations, but the thing is, we need something to believe in so that we can keep our society loving and safe. Gary's book is cool because he is giving us hope as a nation that there is something that is bigger than all of us.

Summary: Zukav struck gold by capturing Oprah's "soul" and publicity
Review: O.K.....we all know there are hundreds of books on the market that "delve into your soul"....well, after Oprah's HUGE push for this book, I bought it thinking there simply MUST be some magical thing about this book. What I found page after page after page was simply one mans ideas and explanations for our existence. I would read a sentence referring to the "guides and teachers" that would help our souls review our lives (after our death of course) and would think "Now how does Zukav know this?" You could ask yourself this question after every single sentence in the book. This book is very simply ONE MAN'S ASSUMPTIONS OF OUR LIVES, OUR SOULS AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. Unless Zukav talked to a burning bush on a mountain one day........this is a work of fiction, nothing more.
