Rating: Summary: When sense goes down the gutter Review: Well, what happened to Gary Zukav. I must have thought he was crazy or something. What a piece of baloney this was!!! I don't know, maybe I am becoming insensitive or what but I thought this book was pretty bad. I have not read the "Dancing Wu Li Masters" but I am now afraid to try in spite of the rave reviews. This book is a repetition of age old hindu mantras, and this not even well explained mixed with common, everyday ideas about metaphysics. Real pity. I could as well right a bunch of stuff that I imagine and would have done a better job than Mr. Zukav. I don't recommend this book....it is a bunch of baloney.
Rating: Summary: the touch Review: some of us have made cash but no sense. what a book!luv-jerima
Rating: Summary: Good reading, however, too many assumptions Review: I liked the book, some of the parts of the book (not complete chapters) were excellent. However, the book gave me a feeling as the author was trying to force his ideas/thoughts/concepts on the reader. The book I believe is his "truth", for us it provides another view point. None-the-less, the principles to live life are irrefutable.
Rating: Summary: This book is intuitively written and very inspirational! Review: The question most readers may ask while reading this book is "how do YOU know?" There is no question to me that the perspective presented in this book will be challenging to some, inspirational to others and threatening to many. However, when I read this book, I felt that my own soul could've written it. I kept thinking, "I know this stuff!" I am thrilled to know that this "spiritual bird's eye view" is finally being shared. As it is intuitively written, there are parts that are not very clear and need to be re-read. This book, just by it's existence, improves the state of our world.
Rating: Summary: Offensive New Age Garbage Review: As a trained biologist who had read Zukav's earlier book I was interested to see what he had to say about evolution of the soul. But I was too offended by his amaterish and inadequate understanding of evolution to read very far into this book. Finally I threw it away.
Rating: Summary: Sad and distressed with this book Review: I am sad that my book club selected this sorry book for this month's reading. I am sad we wasted our money on the unsubstantiated nonsense Zukav dishes out. Most important it distresses me to see how many people believe this stuff. Save your money.
Rating: Summary: This is a runaway best-seller?? Review: Someone, please explain to me what all the fuss is about for this book! Zukav's premise may be intriguing (however, not to me!), but what a chore to trudge through his clumsy, wordy writing!
Rating: Summary: Thanks for the warning... Review: I must say that I was intrigued by Oprah, however, after reading that a "past Mormon bishop" has found "truth" in it where he has not found truth before makes me sure that I don't need to waste my money. Thanks to all the no stars - I think you've hit the nail on the head!
Rating: Summary: Best Book I ever read! - and I read a lot. Review: The Seat Of The Soul is the best book I ever read, and I've read a LOT of books, especially metaphysical and self-help books. Zukov fills in so many of the gaps in my knowledge, and also explains how the universal laws work, and how to achieve lasting happiness. This book truly changed my life for the better. Thank You Gary Zukov.
