Summary: Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing
Review: Fudge is a great character. Reading about him always makes me laugh every time. It is a book that is just perfect to share with a group, especially when there are other kids that do not like to read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great first book for kids!
Review: I read this book when I was seven years old (I am now 23) and I still remember how much I loved it! It was the first "real" book I read on my own (i.e., one with chapters). This book started my life long love of reading. I think every parent should encourage their children to read Judy Blume's books, especially the "Fudge" series.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very Funny!
Review: This was the first Judy Blume book I read. I thought it was very funny. It seems like being older, you always have to defend your younger brothers and/or sisters even though they are making your life miserable. Reading this book made me seek out other Judy Blume titles and there are only a few that I didn't think as highly as I did this book.

Summary: Perfect book for kids
Review: I think every parent should buy this book for their children. I think I read it about 3 or 4 times when I was ten and eleven years old and loved it then! This book captures something special about childhood.

Summary: Funny!
Review: My teacher read this book to my 2nd grade class and I about died laughing! I was having a heart attack it was so funny! Then Mom bought it for me and I was so happy to read it again (I was 9 then). However, I feel that Fudge was spoiled rotten and Peter was misunderstood and unjustly blamed. I felt like Fudge was undisciplined, too. His folks knew nothing about discipline. Besides, I don't like the idea that they tried to force feed Fudge. A person's hunger will drive them to eat, and it is not necessary to force feed a child. If they are hungry, they'll eat. I feel like Blume was encouraging parents to do this. This "clean your plate or else" mentality only encourages obesity. Also I felt like parts in this book weren't very realistic. There is like no way a child can swallow a turtle, plain and simple. In 4th grade on the first day of school my teacher told us about what we would do during the year and she said in spring we would go see a play in Seattle on this book, and I could not wait! Before we went, she read this book and we laughed so hard. She had such a way of explaining parts in the book to us. As a suburb kid I didn't really know what it meant to get mugged back then, but she explained. Also, why on earth would parents raise their kids in such a bad area of town? That is subjecting them to be victims. The ending was really sad and as a kid, devistated and horrified me! What a devil that Fudge kid is! Overall, this is a very neat book, one of Blume's most innocent! But parents, read it yourself and decide!

Summary: "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" is extremely funny!
Review: "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" is extremely funny! After the first couple of chapters you read you almost want to actually live with Peter and Fudge. Once Peter Hatcher wins a turtle, that soon means the world to him, at his best friends birthday party, he is burned up when his two-year-old brother EATS IT! And I loved the way the author describes Peter's anger with Fudge, it's one of my favorite books of all time.
