It took place in the early fall when school started. Some of the characters in this book are Peter, Fudge, Vanessa and Jimmy(who are Peter's friends), Mom and Dad. I like the way Peter and Fudge act and react to each other. The book gets funnier and funnier every time you turn the page. This book is definitely for people who like really funny stories. I enjoyed this book very much.

At Jimmy Fargo's party, Peter won a turtle and all the other guests got fish in a bag. Jimmy, Sheila, and Peter were supposed to watch Fudge but while they were fighting, Fudge wanted to fly like a bird. When he was up in the air he fell and blood was dripping down his face and he lost his two top teeth. If you want to read an funny book, I think you should read Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.

But to this day, I give it (and Judy Blume) the lion's share of credit for my interest in reading and my subsequent career in writing. "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" spoke to me as a child, embedded itself in my psyche and prepared me for a future full of simply wonderful books. "Tales..." was the first of many, and for that I am ever grateful! When I read this, all those years ago, I remember clearly that I felt a strong kinship to the main character. Today, I remember snatches of scenes and bits of dialogue, which proves that this book profoundly effected me! Thank you, Judy Blume, for your wonderful work. "Tales..." and "Superfudge" were two of the absolute best books I ever read while growing up, and they led to many, many years of joy. I highly recommend this book for children, and it wouldn't hurt if adults read it too. I think I'll re-read it now!

Review: My daughter has now reached the point when "baby" books no longer interest her, and we've been shopping for new books. Much to my amusement, we found Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, and now I'm on my Judy Blume craze again. I read all of them when I was her age, and I'm reading them again! What wonderful memories to pass on to my child...I only hope other parents are having as much fun as I am!

This book will have you laughing after hearing Fudge talk and after the silly things he does especially at the end.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The misadventures of Fudge. Review: How does one handle having a little brother who is a terror? Just ask 9-year-old Peter Hatcher, because he has one named Farley Drexel "Fudge" Hatcher. Fudge is 2-years-old and he's about to turn 3-years-old. In Peter's opinion, Fudge is nothing but a pain in the neck, and he's right. Peter, Fudge, and their parents Anne and Warren live in an apartment building in New York City. First, Fudge costs Warren, who works for an advertising agency, an important account by terrorizing guests who have come all the way from Chicago. Peter tries not to go crazy as Fudge also does things like messing up Peter's homework and throws a tantrum at a shoe store, among a lot of other things. This synopsis describes this book from my point of view. There are a lot of things in the book that I didn't want to give away in the synopsis, just in case someone who has never read this book reads this review before reading the book. The fact that I read this book all over again every now and then proves that I love this book. Some parts of it still make me laugh, and there's a ood chance it'll make you laugh, too.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Book Club Review Review: This book was used for a mother-daughter book club with five girls and mothers respectively. All the girls were in the fourth grade. The girls really enjoyed this book, and there were plenty of topics for them to relate to. This was one of our longer running book club meetings. It seems they all had points to make regarding dealing with siblings, neighbors, pets, and pesky moms. Personally, I liked the book but felt that the parental molds may be a little outdated. I also had to explain to my daughter what green stamps were. Talk about having your age thrown in your face! Overall it was a good book though. The girls really enjoyed it, and we moms had stories to relate from our younger days as well.
