Rating: Summary: Must Read! Review: Louis Sachar wrote a great book called Side ways stories from WaySide School. In this book are many interesting characters. Also had many interesting things. But there was this one teacher named Mrs. Gorf. She was an unusual teacher and did unusual things to her students. Mrs. Gorf was one reason why this story was great. This book is a must read for many reasons. This terrific book is a page-turner. 'You want to here more right' When I came to a story that I didn't like I knew it wouldn't last long. With the verity of characters it makes each story interesting in it own way. Louis is a great author. He was born on March 20, 1954. His first book was Side ways stories from WaySide School. It takes Louis a year to a year in a half to write a book. Most of the time he gets his ideas from his dog and his daughter. You should read this book I' m sure you will like it. by Brittney P.
Rating: Summary: totaly cool book Review: Sideways Stories From Wayside SchoolThis book talks about a school that was made wrong so all kinds of bad things are happening. The main character is well there isn't a main character. Because there are 31 kids and every chapter there is a character. This story is set in a school that was made wrong. This book's genre is fiction because it is so non-believing. The author did a pretty good job because he made it so funny and so entertaining. The author's style is to entertain and to be funny. What I felt about the book is excitement and surprising and felt like reading more. I would recommend this book to every one of my friends. And also to my mother my sister and maybe to every cousin I have. Truly I would like every one to read it. I think that people would love to buy this book for their kids so just try it. Your kids will love it guaranteed. Or also see more Luis Sachar just like "Holes". That's another book by Luis Sachar. No other book can possibly be better than this one.
Rating: Summary: Best book by far Review: Sideways Stories from Wayside School, by Louis Sachar, is one of my all-time favorite books. He is also one of my favorite authors, he also wrote Holes and There's a Boy in the Girl in the Bathroom. Side Ways Stories from Wayside School is about this very mean teacher named Mrs. Gorf. She's so mean that she eats students! How does she do it, you'll have to read to find out! All of the characters are paranoid to go to school. John, Fibi, Terrence and others are all freaked out about being is Mrs. Gorf's classroom. Read the book to find out if they get rid of Mrs. Gorf. This is my favorite book because it has humor, tootsie pops and more. Louis Sachar writes great cliffhangers and always makes me want to read on. The book teaches you that in the end, good will overcome evil and that you better watch out for teachers that can wiggle their ears!

I first read it in second grade, and I was reading it during silent reading, and I laughed out loud! Now the book is real tattered and bent up because I have read it at least 30 times and my mom keeps asking me when are you going to stop i say never and that's cause I LOVE THIS BOOK! its about a school that is real weird and the kids have a weird mean teacher named Mrs. Gorf and they turn her into an apple? Rating: Summary: "Sideways" Super Story! Review: This book is about a crazy school that has been built sideways--with 30 classrooms straight up--and the ultra-crazy students who go to school there. Each chapter focuses on individual students, and serve well as stand-alone stories or as part of a whole. My favorite is the story of John, a student who can only read upside down words. His teacher tells him he can't keep his book upside-down. Instead, he has to learn to stand on his head! Unfortunately for him, John has a really round head, and can't stand on it... This is just an example of the silliness that abounds in Wayside! Great story for read-aloud, or silent reading time.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: I read this book as a child, along with the others in the Wayside School series. I'm now 17 and ordered them off of Amazon because I loved them so much. Louis Sachar is a wonderful writer, and this book is a delightful, quick read for children who like silly books.

Rating: Summary: I still remember Review: For those that have never heard of this book, I highly recommend it. I am now 23 and I still remember reading and loving that book over 10 years ago. This book is so funny to kids (and adults)and overall skillfully written. It is excellent for getting couch potatoes to do something other than sit there (at least it worked for me).
Rating: Summary: This is a really funny book! Review: My third Grade teacher first read this to my class and that's how I found out about this series. The Wayside School books are so funny. Having a mean teacher who was turned into an Apple and eaten by the yard teacher is so funny! I'd suggest reading all of the wayside school books if you like comedy.
