Rating: Summary: My Favorite Book Review: I am a 38 years old and an avid reader. Out of the hundreds of books I have read in my lifetime, The Cay stands out as the very best. I first read it as a child, and several times since then. It truly is a beautiful story. I love this book.

Theodore Taylor wrote this wonderful book filled with characters that you will never forget. Mr. Taylor created a book full of twists and turn that will keep the reader turing the page.
Rating: Summary: Completely unrealistic and unbelievable. Review: Not a worthwhile read. Don't waste your time. Interesting plot, but got a little carried away with the disasters and everything. Like a Disney movie.
Rating: Summary: Great Children's reading material Review: A great story of survival, courage, and friendship. It was so great I had to go out and buy the sequel ( that was great to) ! I recommend it for any age between 9 and 16.
Rating: Summary: A very powerful story Review: The Cay is a very powerful and sad story with one of the most amazing characters Timothy, giving his life to save Phillips. The thing is you realy dont appreciate it until the end of the story. A must read book
Rating: Summary: A very touching story of survival! Review: This is a story about how two very different people work together to create a home after the ship that they were on gets torpedoed. Learn how Timothy and Phillip work together to stay alive and how Phillips life changes forever after a serious blow to the head! You can also read about Phillips survival in the sequel to The Cay; in Timothy of the Cay.
Rating: Summary: stephen moffitts review 5th grader Review: this is my favorite book you couldnt understand timothy at first but after you got into the book you could people may think this book is boring but it is cool phillip goes blind and timothy thinks stew cat is bad luck and it is a very good book
Rating: Summary: It was exciting throughout the middle and end of the book. Review: I thought the book was a little slow in the beginning, but became exciting when the ship was sunk and Timothy, Stew Cat, and Phillip were on the little wooden raft. It got even more exciting when they were stranded on the island. I learned from the book that you can't always do everything yourself, but you need to rely on other people for help sometimes.
Rating: Summary: Nicely told! Review: I enjoyed this book! I thought it was amazing How a blind boy could manuver himself around a small cay so easily!I think you will enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: fascinating Review: This book was worth the while. It's of a young boy's survival story in which he is fleeing a country that is under attack. He is later shipwrecked and blinded by a blow to the head. His struggle to survive depends on a man named Timothy. Phillip and Timothy are out at sea and encounter an island where they will struggle to live. The form a friendship that was considered strange, because of their race. I urge young readers to read this book.
