Summary: The most mentaly enlighting book I have ever read.
Review: If you read it with an open mind, it clears your head in the most amazing way! It changes your whole perspective of life, you begin to view the world in a different way. You will be taken to a higher level of understanding, away from all the petty day to day distractions, you become above all that. The phylosophy is enlighting! It is just a beautiful book. Reading it is the most relaxing thing one could possibly do. I can't wait to read "The tenth insight!"

Summary: Mental Barriers Destroyed
Review: First I would like to say that when I was first told about this book my friend "Rabbi". He described it to me as a mental healing neccessity. At first I was scepticle of the transformation he described follwing the reading of "The Celestine Prophecy". I soon had the time to start reading and to my supprise, every page I turned through just pulled me further and further into the plot. I know this ahs been published as "fiction" but, the way I was able to use the thoughts and conversations as a comparison to my life, was of undescribable accuracy. James some how was able to mention the perfect phrase or setting at the same time as I was remembering parts of my past that I had tried to forget or at least not acknowledge, bringing these "problems" to the surface. And instead of putting the book down and delving into deep thought on these problems I just continued to read , as the reading progressed so did my inner conflicts. Comforting me when I felt vulnerable, forcing me to be assertive when I needed it and teaching me(without saying anyhing) when and how to use these new techniques I had descovered. Well to make a long story short,.....I read the entire book non stop, not able to put it down(even if I wanted to). James Redfield probably has no idea how his writting has help people change thier lives for the good, but I hope that everyone that reads The Celestine Prophecy at least reads it open minded and not with a desire to pick it apart.

The answer is within yourself.....have the courage to find it and be thankful for being shown the way to a mental salvation.

Summary: The stupidest thing I've ever forced myself to finish!
Review: You really need a "0 stars" or "Please! don't bother" rating. The only good thing I discovered about this book is that it was loaned to me and I didn't flush any money down the toilet to buy it. It is written in a style that would shame an imaginative eight-year-old. The so-called story is pathetic and if ANYONE really thinks this thing is worth reading I feel very sorry for them, unless they have suffered from insomnia for quite some time and have discovered in this volume the perfect cure. I personally felt as though I were dragging a hundred pound anchor behind me, or wading through hip-deep snow. There are several comic strips in my daily paper ("Peanuts" and "Hagar the Horrible" come to mind) that have by far more depth and perception in them than this simplistic junk. By the way, the only reason I FORCED myself to finish it was because it was lent me by someone whose opinion I respected, and I felt sure that sometime, somewhere there would be some substance to it. When I reached the end of it - and hit the totally unconcealed advertisement for the next book - I felt as though I had been betrayed because of the time I had wasted. "Please! Don't bother!"

Summary: A new world opens up and changes you forever.
Review: The celestine prophecy is an amazing book, a great fairy tale? I don't know. The story is probably fiction written in a time were many people are seeking for answers. maybe this book will answer your question, or better, will give you even more to punder about

Summary: I couldn't put it down!
Review: I found the book fascinating. I've read different story-based philosophy books, but none have become a part of my thinking like the Celestine Prophecy has. I found that it didn't try to negate any religion but to enhance all of them. At the end of the book it talked about how Jesus was able to achieve oneness with God and enter heaven. That one or two paragraphs made more sense to me than anything I've read or heard about religion. The ideas in the book have really got me thinking.

Summary: dos and donts...
Review: It was refreshing to encounter the ideas presented in this novel - the recognition of life energies and how we might use them to benefit the world is timeless and very important. But the novel itself is painful to read. This is no book for those unsettled and made impatient by clumsy language. But for those of us who appreciate the spiritual, alongside fine-tuned language, it might just be worth it to suffer through the linguistic atrocity to lift out the heart and raise it up high.

Summary: Simply excellent
Review: Hi. I think this book is simply excellent. If you have an open mind, if you believe we're not only this material body, so don't lose your time, buy this book now. You won't lose money nor time reading it. It's one of the best books I have ever read.

Summary: I like this book.
Review: I like this book. And I hope people who didn't like the book will read this review. There are underlying truths about humanity in the book. It does make you think. If it didn't make you think, then you need to question your own life more. This book is great simply because it asks you to question who you are and what has influenced you to become who you are. And if you truly challenge yourself to answer these questions, chances are, you will find more peace and happiness. If, however, you are looking for a rigid set of guidelines to live by without having to question anything, you probably won't like the book.

Summary: This isn't breaking new territory or anything!!!
Review: So many satisfying and beautifully written books on the subject of a supernatural guiding force have been produced throughout history. Why has this shallow, sappy,"spiritual" romance been embraced as a best selling life guide book? I don't get it!!!
