Summary: Already one of my favorites and I'm only to the 6th insight.
Review: The Celestine Prophecy was really an eye opener to me and finally made me realize that there is so much beauty in the world that we take advantage of everyday. If only everyone would read this book, not just to read it, but to study it and open your mind to how everything interreacts to each other and that every action has a reaction of energy transference.

Summary: it just is
Review: The Celestine Prophecy is so much more then 'just a book' could ever be...The way this book will affect you will depend on what kind of eyes you are viewing it with. If you are only reading it becasue you are tired of ppl talking about (and feeling inadequete becasue you can not participate in the conversations) then you will no doubt get exactly what you are looking for...jsut a book, no big deal..perhaps you may even find things that enable you to show your friends how much you know about "books". But that is not the point. If you read this with an open mind and fresh eyes you will not really be able to miss the message..dont look for it, just read and relate..not the words necesarilly but the meaning. just the fact that ppl DO talk about it...... well if you read it you will know what that means. Dont look to it as a bible (unless you want to), as a life fixer(unless you want to), as anything...just read it as it is..and hopefully you will 'get' some understanding from it all . its a beginning

PEACE

Summary: Food for Soul!
Review: It is obvious that people either love or hate the book. I found it "insightful" even though it was unrealistic at times. The truth of the matter is when I read a book my goal is to take away a few good ideas from it and adapt it to my life which I accomplished. Spiritual maturity is not easy to attain but opening your mind to new ideas is the first step. After I finished the book I had three people in mind to give it to as a gift. This book is for people that have a higher level of spirituality and can be receptive to different point of views.

Summary: an insightful and inspiring book.
Review: The simple story line to me, was one of the books best assets. The book was obviously not ment to be action packed and dramatic at every turn, but it focuses on trying to make sure that everyone that reads it grasps how important these concepts are. Everything mentioned in this book was something that I had previously read or heard about, but the way it was it was all connected was a new concept and it makes sense!! I have never gotten into any "new age" ideals, but this book gave me a new perspective on the way people should live.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very Clarifing
Review: This book connects alot of the loose ends of life and ties them together very nicely. Life makes alot more sense after reading this book. I also appreciate that it doesn't really change my underling religious beliefs it just gives life more meaning and purpose. You can really be of any faith and appreciate this book.

Summary: I believe this much be true to me
Review: I believe this book gets a rating of five stars because as soon as a opened this book, I noticed that the form of writing was very poor, but the book captivated me and before I knew it I was done. The pages of the book struck me as a truthful book and people who thinks authors are "out to make a buck" shouldn't judge them before they know them. Each pages of the book seemed to shine with truth and hope and self-relizations. Another note I want to add is that people who judge others before they know them are hardly in a position to criticize them.

Summary: Wish I had consulted other reviews before buying...
Review: ...this book. When reading a novel, I try to imagine the movie that would be done based on it. I found myself laughing at the dialogue, the characters, and the concepts. Imagine the opportunities for Hispanic actors: Ricardo Montalban would be Cardinal Sebastian, Alejandro Rey would be Father Sanchez, etc. You would have to put Adam Sandler in the role of the tourist and Drew Barrymore could play any of the female characters. Sort of a remake of the Wedding Singer meets Fantasy Island. Another thing occurred to me as I finally got to the end: Members of Greenpeace must have picked up on the theme of preserving ancient forests and are out there right now vibrating themselves silly trying to stop harvesting of trees used to make wood products and paper. How many ancient trees died to print this book?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: read it, think about it..feel it...
Review: Oh well...what can I say? You can like it or hate it. You can give 5 stars or no stars..it does not matter...what is important you have read THE BOOK...and if you are a human, please think about it..relax and think how it can change your life..how is it already affecting your life..you have read it..it stayed in you mind..and if you are are spritual person (your religion does not matter) look deep inside you...you already have some of the insights in you..just find them...love them...and enjoy happy life...

Summary: An added dimension to the story
Review: Within James Redfield's adventure novel, The Celestine Prophecy , the protagonist is relentless pursued by the Catholic Church in his quest to discover an ancient Peruvian manuscript. The manuscript contains obscure spiritual insights which the Church is willing to kill to keep secret. The protagonist obtains and reveals nine of these insights (later 10) which are great; however, there is little that I can see, contained within these insights which would cause the Church to go to such lengths to keep concealed.

The plot would be more believable if the insights were more like those contained in the book An Encounter With A Prophet by C. A. Lewis. These insights are indeed something the Church would, no doubt, like to keep secret.

Put these two books together and you would indeed have a story.
