Summary: Great Job
Review: This was the fifth Cornwell book I've finished. I'm glad she finally met an equal in Benton, too bad he's married. Like her previous four, Postmortem to Cruel and Unusual, this keeps you holding your breath. I've been to the Body Farm as part of my profession, so was happy to see it get mentioned for its work. Unlike other mysteries it is the thrill of trying to out guess Dr. Scarpetta that holds your attention and makes it hard to put the book down. I like this type of mystery that challenges your mind to think of possible solutions. Being a physician I can identify with Kay, PC has done her homework on the inner working of medicine and women physicians. My one wish is that Ms. Cornwell would make Kay less "moody", "PMS'ish", come on this is a fictional character who is suppose to give us an adventure, an escape from reality. If I want PMS I just need to call some of my associates.

Summary: Loved it!!!
Review: I love Scarpetta! Can't wait for the next one. There is a plot inconsistency here, though...Scarpetta asks for the body farm experiment **before** she sees the strange mark on the girls' leg in the photos. How can this be? Also, there was no way that a reader could have suspected Munchausens' by proxy on their own. Usually when I read a Scarpetta novel for the second or third time (as I usually do!) I can pick up on clues that I missed earlier. They are so subtle! But in this one, all of a sudden Scarpetta suspects the mother, for no apparent reason! Also, I think that Ms. Cornwell needs to go back a couple of novels and fill in some blanks for us regarding the relationship with Mark and Kay. At the end of one novel they were going to go skiing. Then in the next one, ..........with absolutely no warning or transition! I feel cheated. Did they really get back with each other or did they just dance around the "relationship" like in previous books? I do like Lucy, except that she has too many problems for us to focus on: she should be either alcoholic or lesbian but not both! I feel like a doting aunt myself, watching her grow up through the novels. I feel compassion for her, how is she going to stay in the FBI when she is a lesbian? It also is not clear how much Benton knows about Lucy, either... Isn't his position in jeopardy also because of Lucy? Can't wait for the next one when we find out... END

Summary: Improving
Review: Nothing special in this book. I'm currently working my way through the Dr Kay series and discovering some good charcters doing pretty much the same thing again and again. Pete Marino is still the star of the show but may be going a little soft. Do not expect a great read, paticularly if this is your first PC novel. Start at the beginning.

Summary: Scarpetta gets better and better!
Review: I love the three (Cruel and Unusual, The Body Farm, and From Potters Field) as they all work out as a single novel. From the first page of The Body Farm you are hooked! Cornwell gets sharper with every book! As always congratulations to Cornwell!!

Summary: Quite intoxicating
Review: I picked my first Cornwell book quite by accident (while waiting for a train at Waterloo Station in London). I simply couldn't put it down. I've since sought out ALL her books, and have found every one of them simply remarkable - I'm suprised I haven't seen them all on the silver screen as yet!! The Body Farm has been my favorite so far, with twists and turns that have kept me guessing right to the bitter end!

Summary: Absolutley Fabulous!!
Review: I'm 13 and discovered PC when I was 12 and have been an avid fan ever since. I have read everything by her except for"A Time for Remembering." The ID of the killer is sickening. I liked that Benton and Kay got involved, not that I urge people to commit adultry or anything. I just re-read it recently and love it as much as I did the first time around.Ciao

Summary: The Body Farm deserves it's title.
Review: Patricia Cornwell takes us to the dark side of forensics (as if there were a light side!) and grisly adventures with both lovable and hate-able characters. "The Body Farm" is no exception. I felt, at first, that the title wasn't justified because Dr. Scarpetta didn't spend much chapter time at the body farm. But when I finished the book, I realized what Ms. Cornwell had done: She grabbed me with the title and the rest was just good reading. If you have the slightest bit of a detective or medical examiner in you, read ALL of Patricia Cornwell's books. You won't be sorry.

Summary: Cornwell keeps getting better
Review: Kay Scarpetta is back, investigating the murder of Emily Steiner, an eleven year-old little girl. Her body shows cruel suffering and abuse. Who could have done it? Was it Temple Gault again? The MO certainly fits.

And that's not the sole problem that gnaws at Kay's sanity. Lucy, her niece, seems to have made a true career "faux pas" by breaking into a top secret project at the FBI headquarters.

As Kay tries to help find the murderer and prove that Lucy is innocent, she manages to alienate Pete Marino and get mixed up with a very married Benton Wesley.

How will this turn out? You must read to find out. I know I certainly didn't put it down for a second. And when you reach the horrifying truth, it will make you thing twice about human nature. Overall, THE BODY FARM was an excellent read. I truly recommend it to everybody.

Summary: PC DOES IT AGAIN IN SUSPENSFULL MYSTERY.
Review: I am a avid fan of partricia cornwell. The reason i startedreading pcis because everybody was saying how good it was. And to my suprise she's not only good she's great. Body farm is the second in the temple brooks gault series and it is the best. Why you ask? it is the most detialed, suspensefull and it has the most intricate plot line of them all. A couple of problems though. First the way pc goes from the death of emily steiner and the things happening at quantico is a little bit off. Other then that this book is a crackling good read.

Summary: Reel Me In
Review: I loved Patricia Cornwell's Body Farm. I am from Knoxville and loved reading her accurate views on that area. Her research was excellent, I could "see" everything she describes in Knoxville, from the airport to the hotel. I even worked in the restaurant that Dr. Scarpetta visits on a UT game day. Her writing hooked me so fast that when I finished it, I bought several others to catch up on background investigations. This book has made me a Patricia Corwell fan.
