Summary: Excellent!
Review: I loved the book, the hero and heroine together were explosive. My only complaint is the villain seemed to have little or no motive for what he did, and because we could not get into his character fully, we could not gett fully frightened by him. He was bascially motiveless, and background info on his was not followed through and left me guessing and unconvinced. Having said that, this is still one book you will have to read in one sitting.

Summary: Dying to please - did!
Review: Can always count on Linda Howard to give us a good story. I liked it very much and read it in one afternoon. Began with suspense and you were on the heroine's side right away.Linda always gets in a few remarks that make you smile and this is no exception. The villian was creepy; the final chapters were a bit of a stretch but I wanted to enjoy the story and I did. There are a lot of Linda Howard's book on my bookshelves.

Summary: DYING TO SEE ALL PSYCHO KILLERS BANED FROM FICTION
Review: If you've seen my other reviews of Linda Howard books, you know I think she rocks. However, I can only give this one four stars because once again she has brought us another psycho killer. LH is not the only author guilty of this plot cop-out. I don't know about you, but I'd settle for some just plain old bad guys to create the necessary tension and damsel in distress rescue. The main hero and heroine were great and interesting, but alas - that darn old psycho killer shows up! Linda, you are better than this. And, again, please write another western. Okay, I'd settle for another Son Of The Morning partial period piece. It would be a nice change. Trust me!

Summary: The best since Mr. Perfect
Review: Sarah is my hero! She is so tough, but not self-agrandizing. She is a welcom change from Open Season's Daisy, who was a feather pillow for anyone to toss around. The mystery and romance here were a bit on the weak side, but Sarah's character more than made up for it as far as I am concerned. A must buy.

Summary: Okay, but not Open Season or Mr. Perfect
Review: I, like many of the reviewers, LOVE Linda Howard. I have every intention of purchasing her next book as soon as it comes out. However, this book was not her best work, IMO. I loved the female lead but the male lead, I just never warmed up to him. Additionally, it felt like the killer was added on as an afterthought.

Summary: I love this story!
Review: "Dying To Please" by exciting storyteller Linda Howard is a story that I just loved!

The characters were fun and easy to identify with, the action fast-paced, the plot engaging and moves along at just the right tempo!

This is one book I know everyone will enjoy!

Summary: Weak
Review: Sarah Stevens is a butler working for retired judge, Lowell Roberts. She also moonlights as his bodyguard after he has received several unspecified threats. One night a couple of burglars break into the judge's house hoping for an easy score. Sarah thwarts them and the police come to pick up the crooks.

The next day there are news reporters who are interested in doing a feature of Sarah, the female butler. Sarah is reluctant to this until the judge convinces her to do an interview. Once the report is done, Sarah is deluged by offers to work at other people's home. Sarah is happy with her job and she wants to continue until the judge's lifetime where she will afterward travel around the world. Somebody wants Sarah all to himself and do whatever it takes, even if it includes killing her employers.

Ms. Howard started the novel with an interesting concept but once she is done she lets the story drift. The author makes a point of demonstrating what made Ms. Stevens the strong woman she is today, but when the going gets tough she lets a man save her -mainly police detective, Thompson Cahill. This is where the whirlwind romance starts with a determined detective trying to seduce her. He does everything with her from stargazing, practicing target shooting, and participating in a mutual strip wrestling match. We learn everything in their love life while leaving the main story adrift. Once it gets back on track it is too late.

Sarah is kidnapped easily by her stalker. He then humiliates and overpowers her turning her pathetic. Once the case is over she searches a way to get her strength back but but by then it just turns into an old cliche.

Summary: I expected better too!
Review: Wow - I can't believe all the 5 star ratings on this book. Makes me think I didn't read the same one as everything else. Definitely not one of LH better books. I found the plot to be rather simple and the characters just okay. The sex scenes were a little too explicit for my tastes plus the characters were in lust not love. It will be awhile before I buy another one of her hardcover versions. Reading this book felt like reading on auto-pilot.

Summary: I like Linda Howard books; what can I say? This was great.
Review: Although the basic theory behind a lot of Linda Howards's books is similar (i.e., georgous, hunky guy ultimately saves beautiful girl from certain death), it works, so why change it? Her storyline is always fresh, the characters are exciting and easy to relate to, and this book is no exception. I was hooked from the first page. If you like her books, you will like this one. I was intrigued by the "strip-wrestling" contest. Novel idea. I highly recommend this book for reading entertainment.

Summary: Has Found A Place On My Keeper Shelf
Review: Another of Linda Howard's books has found another place on my keeper shelf.

Fast paced with characters that are not only likeable but believable is what makes this such a good book. Linda Howard is a great author of the suspense/romance genre and although this is not her best attempt it is still worth the time that it takes to read this story. I look forward to her next novel already.
