Summary: Uplifting, Powerful, Compassionate

Summary: A sensational follow-up
Review: A friend of mine gave me "Take Time for Your Life," and I thought it was one of the best books I had ever read on finding and sustaining a real passion for life. When I heard about "Stand Up for Your Life," I immediately got a copy, and it is as incredible as her first book. So many books like these tend to be simplistic, but Cheryl's works are much deeper and she offers many specific examples of what one needs to do to live a more meaningful and happier life. Cheryl is obviously extremely intelligent, but she also seems very compassionate. I cannot recommend this book more highly.

Summary: Not Worth It
Review: After reading some of this book I can honestly say that I am no better or worse off than before I read it. As a professional woman, I was offended by some of the nonsense in the book. No self-help here.

Summary: Letting Go of Old Habits
Review: Cheryl did a great job of compiling all of the traps that adults tend to fall into. These are the traps that hold a person back and allow them to accept less and ultimately share less than their all. She opened my eyes to a different way of looking at these traps and to realize that I can help no one if I deny my own power and intelligence. Anyone who grew up Catholic in the 50's and 60's will love this book!

Summary: Awesome..... thoroughly engaging must read!
Review: Cheryl has done it again with her practical, hands-on advice. She has helped me so much through her work in providing concise ways to teach me to "build my courage muscles" - this book is simply wonderful!

Summary: A Brother Weighs In
Review: Cheryl is a gifted writer and speaker. Cheryl is my sister. I encourage one and all to read her book and put it to the test. Cheryl gives us the push we need to start taking control of our future. Been there, done that and it is liberating.

Does Cheryl walk her talk, you bet! If you define success as being passionate about your work and committed to making a difference is this world, then Cheryl is incredibly successful.

I am inspired by her passion and proud to be her brother.

Summary: Outstanding guide to doing the inner work!
Review: Cheryl Richardson has done it again! I loved her first book(s) as they helped me to clean up obstacles in my environment so I could focus on what was really important - me! Now that I have more space and time to concentrate on me thanks to her, she comes out with a book to help me work on none other than, me. Perfect timing, Cheryl!

It's a shame that other reader didn't get the intention of the book at all. If all he or she got from reading it was tears, that person is certainly not at a mature enough place in his or her life to handle a book of this magnitude. Someone who could write something so negative clearly was looking for Cheryl (and other people in his or her life I presume) to "fix" all his or her problems. Guess what? You gotta do that yourself, Charlie Brown. Once you realize that, maybe you'd be able to handle and take Cheryl's beautiful guidance and advice.

Cheryl, I thank you for what you do. If everyone was mature enough to do the work you suggest, this world would surely be a better place!

Summary: Stand up for your life
Review: Cheryl Richardson has done it again. I give this book a 5 star rating. The author shares personal experiences which I find to be the most motivational tool their is. I had to write this review because I read some of the negative feedback and was blown away. I know there is no accounting for taste but get real, this book is informative, helpful, inspiration and down right motivating. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who is motivated to stand up for their life. Thank you Cheryl for another fabulous book, keep up the great work.
One other thing, I had the pleasure of seeing Cheryl speak and found her to be a delightful, humorous and very passionate.

Summary: much-needed help!
Review: cheryl richardson has hit the nail on the head. as kids, we have so many hopes and dreams, and are so fearless... fearless to go after what we want, learn more about ourselves, speak our minds... as we get older, we are trained to do what others want us to -- society, our parents, friends, etc. and we start to lose sight of our "me-ness". cheryl's book will help you to work on finding yourself again, finding your own voice, and go after those things that you've let fall by the wayside. personally, after spending years in a corporate job, i'm exploring community theatre auditions in my area so i can get back into my lifetime love of musical theater... and i'm getting myself out of debt, and saving to buy a house someday, after spending the last 10 years deep in debt. she's great.
