Summary: If only I could be a princess...
Review: Mia thinks of herself as an ordinary 14-year-old. Sure, her dad is always gone with his "work," her mom is dating her Algebra teacher, and she doesn't have a boyfriend. But things could be worse. Then one day over tea her father tells her that the reason he is gone so often is not because he is involved in the politics of his country, but because he is the prince of that country. Which of course makes her a princess! While you would think that every teenage girl would kill to be a princess, and that Mia would be thrilled, that is not the case. Things turn from bad to worse for Mia when her dad says he wants her grandmother to give her "princess lessons." Mia soon finds herself learning how to sit, stand, dress and eat like a princess. Who knew that being a princess could be so hard? For me this was a fun and entertaining story. While some of it was slightly unrealistic, it didn't matter as Mia was a character I truly learned to love. Although I was a bit jealous of Mia getting to live out my dream. After all, who doesn't dream of being a princess? I am anxiously awaiting the next two books in this series.

Summary: This is a GREAT book !
Review: This book is up beat and hilarious! It tells the trials and tribulations of Mia who turns out to be a princess. I know that sounds kinda cheezy but that is just the tip of the iceburg. It also talks about her fighting with her best friend, Her annoying yet lovable relatives and Her hopeless crush on the school hunk! This bok is tons of fun and I strongly recommend it!

Summary: Hysterical! The Best!
Review: This was one of my favorite books that I have ever read. It was so funny that at some points I had to put the book down and just laugh. But there was a problem. When I was laughing I didn't want to put the book down. If you are a 14 year old girl, or about that age, and aren't quiet sure about where you fit, you will love this book. I thought I was reading a diary of my self, minus the part of me becoming a princess of a small country. I am so excited for the second book to come out. I hope Meg Cabot puts it on order faster. Also hurry up b/c this book is also turinging into a movie. If that always spoils it get to it fast.

Have a great time reading the book. You will enjoy it.

Summary: One of my favorite books...
Review: At first when I picked up the book I thought okay this book is about a girl who finds out she is a princess and she didn't know it all her life...great...but as soon as I got into it I couldn't put it down. It was very funny and very realistic from everything about Mia's appearance to her trouble in Algebra everything was something that a lot of girls experience. I loved the setting of diary entries because it made the book really easy-going. I loved everything about it whether it was the way everything was so connected to the many laughs I got out of reading it. This book is fantastic and definitely worth reading!!!

Summary: "A Book To Feast Your Eyes On!"
Review: Mia Thermopolis, a freshman at Albert Einstein High, thinks of herself as a freak. That is a five foot nine, flat chested, size ten shoed freak. And to add to her High School/teenage troubles, she is acquainted with an "F" in Algebra I. Well, Mia's mom, who is separated but never married, just happens to fall in love with Mr. Gianini, Mia's Algebra I teacher. Months later, Mia receives a phone call from her dad, who lives in a small country by the name of Genovia. Due to the chemotherapy he had gone through to treat his testicular cancer, he had become permanently sterile. Mia, as his only child, finds out that her dad is Prince Artur Christoff Phillipe Gerard Grimaldi Renaldo of Genovia. In less than a minute she went from Mia Thermopolis to Princess Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo of Genovia, the heir to the throne. Unlike any other teenager, she did not want to be a princess. She wanted to stay just the way she was, an unpopular, odd, Manhattan schoolgirl who had an obsessive crush on the hottest senior in school, Josh Richter. This ordeal was only the least of her worries. The news broke out about her royal heritage, which was when she all of the sudden became popular. The school's Cultural Diversity Dance was coming up soon, but she didn't have a date. The day before the dance, Josh asked Mia to be his date. For dinner, they met up with his "entourage". Finally, an hour after the dance started, they hitched a ride in a limo to the school where hundreds of reporters were awaiting. Mia then realized that Josh had only used her for publicity and popularity, and didn't even know her. She dumped him immediately and walked into the dance. Then she was greeted by all of her friends, who liked her for who she was, and not what she owned.

Summary: a cute, light read
Review: I read this as a favor to my mother, who's a children's librarian, and was pleasantly suprised. Both of us have read the author's other books, and were not impressed, but this one was fairly well-written and original, if somewhat implausible. I'd recommend it for middle-school girls, and perhaps ninth graders as well.

Summary: Awesome Book
Review: The Princess Diaries is like a mix of a modern fairy tale and a reall teenager's view on school, family, friends, and in genreal, life. My friends have all borrowed it and loved it, and so has my mom! I recommend this book to everyone!

Summary: This book was very good, but its not a Pulitzer Prize!
Review: Hi. I just finished this book and I did enjoy it. I thought it had a very cute plot, and its storyline was very interesting, but the storyline was especially easy to follow. It's not really what you would call "active reading," but I did like most of the characters except for Mia's mom. She kind of got on my nerves. One thing I did notice is that it was slightly bias towards cheerleaders, and I being a cheerleader didn't really like that part. Overall I thought the book was a good read and fun. I recommend it for any girl who wishes they were a princess.

Summary: Mia is the BEST
Review: I just LOVED the Princess Diaries. It is so real. I am 14 just like Mia so I know. It's also histerically funny which I also love about it. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I also can't wait until the movie comes out.
