Rating: Summary: Excellent Read For Teens Review: The Princess Diaries is one of the best books I have ever read. The book follows the life of Mia Thermopolis, a freshman in high school who finds out she is the princess of a small country, Genovia.I thought that this was an excellent book, it is one of my favorites, and I can't wait to read the sequel and see the movie. I thik anyone who liked Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging will be a fan of this book.
Rating: Summary: Keeps you laughing!!! Review: This book is about Mia Thermopolis regular girl, until her father comes to town and tells her she is a princess. So on top of dealing with the normal teenage problems(like her mom dating her algebra teacher)she has to worry about princess lessons. I really loved this book! It was so totally awesome that I could not put it down. I bought it yesterday at like 5 and finished around 7! I would reccommend this book to anyone over the age of about 12-13!! GREAT BOOK!!
Rating: Summary: Two thumbs WAY, WAY up!!! Review: This book is halarious!! The Princess Diaries will leave you laughing on the edge of your seat. It's about this girl named Mia who just finds out she's the princess of a small country. Mia is heir to the throne and she must take "princess lessons" from her cranky grandmother. I think anyone who is mature enough should read it, but don't give it to your eight year old sister to read. Other than that, this is one of my favorite books! Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Mia Thermopolis. A PRINCESS!?!? Review: Mia Thermopolis is your normal teenage girl. She has dirty-blonde hair and is one of the tallest girls in her class. She hangs out at her friend, Lilly's, house all the time. But when Mia's dad calls her house sounding worried, Mia knows something is up. Mia's conclusions are affirmed when her dad comes to see her and her mom. But Mia could never have imagined that her father was there to tell her that SHE was the only living heir to the throne of Genovia. Mia is devastated. She never wanted to be a princess! She didn't ask for it! To add to the trouble, Mia's dreaded Grandmere has come to teach Mia how to be a proper princess. Mia decides it is best not to tell her friends. She has a plan all worked out, and manages to keep her identity hidden. Until...... Somehow, a news reporter hears of Mia Thermopolis, the Princess of Geonvia, and decides to make the story an exclusive. In a whirlwind of people, Mia's plan just dissapears, and Mia is left with all these people to face. How does she tell all her friends that she meant well in not telling them? How does she face down the reporters who are in her face everywhere she goes? And how does she deal with the most popular boy in school asking her to Cultural Diversity dance?
Rating: Summary: Fun but way to inrealistic Review: The book was fun to read. It has plenty of funy moments. I expected the book to focus more on the princess lessons. Instead the story is mostly of her adolescent problems.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS SUCH A GOOD BOOK! Review: The instant I picked up this book I could not put it down! It is such a hilarious account of this poor girl (who has a prettty darn good life, come to think of it) forced to face the truth. It is truly worth your while to buy this book because the way it is written is very clever. I have already pre-ordered the sequel and the day the movie comes out I am dragging all of my friends. I love you Meg Cabot, wherever you are!!

Rating: Summary: The Princess Diaries Review: Mia Thermopolis is a 14 year old girl who lives in New York with her mother. Mia seems to stumble into trouble everywhere she turns. She is trying to pass the ninth grade algebra while her mother is dating her teacher. She doesn't have many friends except for her best friends Lilly and is mainly and outsider from all the rest. She has the biggest crush on Josh Richter one of the most hottest boys in school and her locker happens to be right next to his. Mia finds out that she is princess to Genovia and is the only heir to the throne. She has no interest in being a princess and thinks she doesn't fit the criteria of one. It seems like any girls dream to be a princess. Why she doesn't want to be a princess is absolutely insane. I think this book is very good and that a lot of teenagers can relate to some things that she is going through. I think the ending should have been more detailed, but over all I can't wait till the sequel comes out so I can see what she does and what duties she takes on.
Rating: Summary: A Great Novel, Just Don't Look for Reality Review: Meg Cabot is an excellent writer, but I found it to be a little dissapointing because I expected the protagonist to be more realistic. She came across to me as being too flippant for being in the situations she was placed in, giving the novel a lighthearted tone sometimes innappropriate for an adolecent going through crisislike Mia. However, the book was a great, easy-read if you are looking for a few good laughs. I really enjoyed some of the smaller details to the story like Mia's cat, Fat Louie, and Mia's best friend, Lilly, who was a great character. The biggest thing that bothered me about this book was a conversation between Lilly and her older brother, Micheal. They were discussing who, out of their school, they would have sex with. I have an older brother, and I found this situation in the book to be a little disturbing. The idea of having a conversation remotely similar to this with MY brother makes my stomach turn! NO ONE WOULD REALLY TALK ABOUT THAT WITH THEIR OLDER BROTHER! BELEIVE ME!
Rating: Summary: How can Mia live a normal life if she's a princess??? Review: Mia spends her whole life thinking she's a normal teenager. But everything changes when she learns her father is a Prince! And since a recent scare with testicular cancer he can't have anymore kids, leaving Mia as the only living heir to the throne. Meaning she's a real life Princess! But Mia dosen't take this too well. She's forced to take Princess lessons from her grandmere eveyday after school and now she has a whole side of her she has to hide from her best friend Lilly! SHe's having a hard enough time dealing without anyone knowing but what if somone did find out? The Princess Diaries is the humorus tale of a normal girl who just happens to have some not so normal qualities. Her diary is humorus, almost as good as Louise Rennison's Geogia Nicholson series. And she's so easy to relate to. I can remember struggleing over ALgebra all last year too! If you like books like "Angus, thongs and full frontal snogging" you'll love this. And in other good news. There's a sequel coming out!
