Rating: Summary: Review of The Princess Diaries Review: The Princess Diaries is one of the best books I have ever read. It's about a geeky girl named Mia (Amiela) who's just plain invisable to everyone. She dreams of her crush, Josh, one of the POPULARS. Until she goes to meet her Grandmother from Genovia. If you read this book, go see the movie, I did. It had comedy and tells about a real life of a young teenage girl. I also really recomend The Princess Diaries, Volume 2, I haven't read it yet, but I sure will! I hope people who have read my review reads The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries, Volume 2. Plus I hope you saw the movie too. I hope the Volume 2 can come out as a movie like the first one.
Rating: Summary: Very cute, light, entertaining book Review: I was recommended this book by my cousin, and was interested because I know that Disney now has a movie version of it. The book's plot centers around Mia Thermopolis' diary entries each day, things that every average teenage girl writes and worries about like that horrible popular girl (Lana Weinberg, in this book) and that amazingly handsome guy that never seems to notice you. Mia thinks that her life is about as bad as it gets, failing algebra, her mother DATING her teacher, etc. Then comes along the big news from Mia's father. He is a prince of Genovia, a small but rich country, and she is the one and only heir to the throne, making her Princess Amelia. All of a sudden, Mia finds the popular people dying to sit with her at lunch, and the guy she has been dreaming of for months sitting right next to her, smiling. Could it all be a dream? This book is really, very fun to read, and kept me entertained the whole way through.
Rating: Summary: Meg Cabot... Review: Meg Cabot has, once again, shown what she is made of. From the moment you meet Mia Thermopolis to the last sentence on the last page, you are drawn to this fantastic telling of a teenage girl and her first experiences of royalty-hood. Just when Mia thinks she can't get any lower on the totempole of teenagedom, she discovers she's heir to a small country. And when things look like they're getting better, they get even worse!!! AS IF!
Rating: Summary: Best Book Review: This was by far th best book i have ever read I love the fact that at the beginning of the book Mia i a perfectly normal young lady. What i mean by tha is she is like most of us teenagers, she was not popular, or fo that fact even very pretty. Thi book also shows how everyone wants to know you after something good happens. From this book I learned thatyour true friends will never desert you and your fake friend willonlyb there when they want to be!
Rating: Summary: Modern humor...wow! Review: What a totally awesome book! this is a dream-come-true-not-really book...of the funniest kind. i was kind of suspicious when i picked it up but this book was worth it! i can't wait to read the sequel! good job, meg cabot!
Rating: Summary: Hilariously written Review: I loved the way this novel was written...the language is skillfully used in a way that will keep the readers laughing the whole way through. Though it started out rather predictably, there are so many spontaneous twists in the story and hilarious characters that it's hard to tell what will come next! ALA Booklist says this book is, "like reading a note from your best friend," and I certainly agree. This was very lively and hard to put down.
Rating: Summary: Fabulous! Review: Mia Thermopolis is an unpopular, wacky, teenager who finds out she is the princess of a small country on the borders of France and Italy. Despite being a princess she remains strong and refuses to let it take over her life and change her. She is the kind of character that isn't the popular, gorgeous, cheerleader most people tend to dislike reading about. That is something that makes this a very special book that everyone from pre-teens to adults can relate to. Whether it's to Mia, her best friend, Lily, or even the mean cheerleader, Lana. It's a hilarious book that I would recommend to anyone.
Rating: Summary: One of my Favorites! Review: Wow. I picked up 'The Princess Diaries' at a bookstore after I decided that I needed something new to read. Boy, am I glad I did! 'The Princess Diaries' has since become one of my favorite books. I found myself identifying with Mia, the main character after she finds out she's a princess- she just wants her life to be the same. I laughed throughout the entire book, leading my mother to believe that I was crazed. I cheered for Mia as she made decisions that would affect her relationships with Lilly (her best friend), Michael (Lilly's 'computer-geek' brother), and Josh Richter ('6 feet of unadulterated hotness' and the most popular guy in school). I'm 14, and I loved the book, and I'm eager for both the second book and the movie!
Rating: Summary: LOVE IT!! This book will satisfy your literary cravings! Review: Mia's hilarious life will make you laugh out loud and wince as she rides an emotional rollercoaster. This book is so cool, it's being made into a movie! Read the sequel to it, too...just as funny...
Rating: Summary: My new favorite book Review: I absolutely fell in love with this book. The story is easy to follow and you feel like a part of Mia's life. You begin to feel like her friend and you actually begin to feel for her. She is a normal person who gets put in a very strange situation. It builds on to be a fantastic story. I would suggest anyone to read this book and buy it. I know I bought it, read it and am reading in again. I love this book and I can't wait for the second book.
