Summary: A fun teen novel everyone 13-19 should read!
Review: I really thought that this was a fun book. It was the Cinderella story told in modern times with cooler charactors. It is about Mia who thinks that life can't get any worse: she's flat-chested, unpopular, and has no boyfriend. She was born out of wedlock when her mother had an affair in colledge. On top of that, her mom is dating her Algebra teacher! Her mother is a bohemian artist, and her father is a politician in a small counrty called Genovia. Boy, she is in for a surprise! Her father has cxancer and can bare no more offspring. "So what?" says Mia. Well, her father wasn't the poilition he led her to believe. He was the PRINCE of Genovia! Making Mia the PRINCESS! In a short amount of time, Mia is taking princess lessons with her horrid grandmother and still doesn't have a date to the Cultural Diversity dance! I liked this book because it was fun and lighthearted. I know that the movie is reccomended for seven or eight year olds, but I highly advise them NOT to read the book. It has content innapropriate for them. Also reccomended: Princess Diaries Vol. II, the movie. Beware with the movie because there are some major changes, but it is good anyway.

Summary: surprising
Review: I thought this book was surprisingly good. I expected typical teenage fare, and the odd thing is that it sort of *was*...but it was charming, the way Clueless was so good even though it didn't seem like it would be. And in many ways, it was very original. The whole plot is unusual and the book is nicely fast paced and interesting. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good book for a teenager, young or old, or even for an adult with a sense of humor. I really enjoyed it.

Summary: Man, this book stunk!
Review: This book is really bad. The are no word to describe how disapointing this book is. It is not suitable for younger girls because of somewhat questionable content. Skip the book; see the film. The film was perfect! I wish I could have given the book no stars.

Summary: Cute, short and sweet.
Review: The Princess Diaries is the story of young Mia Thermopolis, whose life is turned upside down when she learns that she is heir to the throne of Genovia, a small European principality. The book is great for teens, and fun for adults, too. The book deals with lots of issues that teenagers face, and puts them into perspective with a morally strong character. Mia Thermopolis is a wonderful girl, and her ideals are strong in the book. With strength of character, Mia deals with the situation graciously, and much more eloquently than it is dealt with in the film.

The film undermines some of the most interesting issues addressed in the novel, but it is cute, too, nonetheless.

If you are looking for a light summer read, The Princess Diaries is just that. And, it has a little bit of substance too, that might even get the adults thinking.

Purchase this one as it is a Mass Market Paperback, and worth the [money]. Enjoy!

Summary: "The Princess Diaries" is a funny, easy-to-read book.
Review: First of all, the movie, "The Princess Diaries," is modeled after the book, instead of the book being written after the movie. This book is about a teenage girl named Mia Thermopolis. In fact, it's her diary, so it's written in a first-person view. She's a vegitarian. Mia is an outcast at school, with her not-quite-blonde hair and mammoth size in height. Mia is a nice person, but she's not known for being popular or pretty. To top it all off, her mother is going out with her algebra teacher. Then, she finds out that she's the Princess of Genovia! Her father is the Prince of Genovia. Mia is not happy about this. She does not want to be uprooted and put in a castle in Genovia. While Mia has plenty of problems at home, she would rather stay at home than leave. If you are thinking of seeing the movie, read the book first--it just goes better that way. I didn't see the movie right after reading the book, but I will sometime. I feel that it makes sense to read the book first, especially after someone pointed it out to me. This book is interesting. I recommend it to those who are looking for books that are light, funny, and informal. I loved this book! There is a sequel to this book, called "The Princess Diaries, Volume II: Princess in the Spotlight." I haven't read it before writing this review, but I plan on reading it.

Summary: She Truely IS a Princess
Review: This is the best book ever. I stayed up into the "wee hours" reading this truely wonderfull book. This is honestly the best book i have ever read in my whole life (I'm 11, but STILL). I would reccomend it to anyone, but really a girl in Jr.High would appriciate this book the most. ~Mia is the outcast of her school; no one knows her. Then her grandma from Genovia shows up w/ her father one day and they tell her she is Princess of Genovia. This is every girl's dream! Except for Mia's. She doesnt want to be a princess. So she tries to hide it. Everyone at school finds out eventually (because her grandma told the press!), and suddenly she is miss popularity. Everyone wants to be her friend. But she realizes who her REAL friends are. The kinds that liked her before royalty~
