Rating: Summary: The Princess Diaries Review: In The Princess Diaries Mia Thermoplis thinks that nothing else in her life can go wrong since she is already flunking algebra and is the biggest geek of the school, but when she finds out that she is Princess of Genovia her world is turned upside down. I really enjoyed reading this book because I can relate on how she has lots of bad days, she is fun, and is very nice. This book takes place in modern times, but has some fantasy because how many girls find out they're a princess one day? Any girl who wishes that they could be a princess or just wants to read about how one girl tries to survive being one will enjoy this book. I suggest you read this book and if you like The Princess Diaries then try reading the sequel Princess in the Spotlight.
Rating: Summary: The best book I've read! Review: The Princess Diaries is an entertaining and exhilarating book enjoyed by both teens and adults. Everything started with Mia Thermopolis, a freshman at Albert Einstein High School who considers herself a freak among all the students. Being flat chested and the tallest girl in her class, Mia feels like an outcast among all the students except her own friends. To make matters worse, Mia's mother is dating her algebra teacher, who just happens to be teaching Mia the subject that she is flunking at. However, among all the turmoil, the biggest blow came when Mia found out that she is crowned princess of a small country called Genovia. Mia, whose life is turned upside down, is forced to take princess lessons with the most hated person in the world, her old, bossy grandmere. Mia's thoughts and amusing ideas reveal the life of a common troubled teenager, except for the part of being a princess. The Princess Diaries is an excellent read that will capture your heart and take you along with Mia's personal life as a troubled, teen princess!
Rating: Summary: The Princess Diaries **ALI**H.a.s 8th grade-age14-almost Review: Mia Thermopolis is only trying to graduate from the ninth grade. Flunking algebra, five foot nine inches, flat-chested, and big feet, that is how Mia or Amelia Thermopolis is. Since she is flunking algebra she has to stay after school, everyday, with Mr. Gianini, who is her algebra teacher. He is not only her teacher, but her mother's new boyfriend. I mean come on she went in to a conference about Mia failing, and came out with a date for next Saturday! Then Mia finds out that her father has to come to America, to New York, to Manhatten, to the loft where Mia and her mom live, to tell her something. Why can't he just call me and tell me over the phone, Mia says, HELLO it is called LONG DISTANCE! I mean get with the times, Mia thinks. She knows the secert now, her father is the PRINCE OF GENOVIA!It was all coming together for Mia, from being picked up on a "private" airport strip, in Genovia, every summer! Oh yes, there is one more thing, Mia's dad has a problem, and needs her to help. Mia, help, no way. She has got other things to do. The Cultural Diversity Dance is coming up, does Mia have a date? Then find out what is wrong with Mia's father, what does Mia have to do, and what is the huge surprise of a lifetime that she finds out? Well Mia cannot believe what it is, read the book and see what you think. I would reccomend reading the book instead of the movie, because there are more characters in the book that they left out in the movie. I would reccomend this book o young and even older girls. This book is a true fairy tale, a girl's dream! Read to find out! H.A.S. 2004!! <3 Ali
Rating: Summary: Awesome Book Review: This book is the best book I've ever read. An average girl finds out shes a princess! The evil grandma is changing Mia(The princess) to rule her country. Great book. Nothing like the movie. This book is a 100 times better than the movie!

Rating: Summary: As Good As The Movie Review: I saw the movie and wanted to see if it were true that the storie is better than the movie and its true. I laughed and enjoyed this book until the last page
Rating: Summary: As if she already weren't a big enough freak Review: Mia Thermopolis is a ninth grader living in Greenwich village. She thinks that her life is pretty normal -- despite the fact that her mom is famous and her dad is rich. She still struggles with school, hangs out with her friends, lusts after boys. Then she finds out that her dad is really a prince who's unable to have anymore children, making her a princess and the sole heir to the throne. Most girls would be thrilled to hear that news, but Mia isn't happy about it at all. She figures life is already hard enough without adding princess duties to the mix. I saw the movie first and thought I would give the book a try. It wasn't a bad book. It was cute, funny, and lighthearted. This is the kind of book that takes your mind away from your troubles. Despite the fantastical element of Mia being a princess, Cabot manages to catch teenage life pretty well. She even knows what "cool" words to use and how to use them. You find yourself rolling your eyes, laughing, and snorting at things that happen in the book, and that's the fun part of it. You react to the situations presented. All-in-all, this was a cute book. There were some things that irked me, but, overall, I enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: Very good!!! Can't wait to start second one!!! Review: Well I didn't know that the movie The Princess Diaries was based on these series of books! My sister is the one who introduced me, and she and I are in our 20's but we still read them. There fun to read and the story in the book seems better than the movie so far. Its interesting to see the differnece but also I still enjoy the movie but reading is so much more fun because then you can imange the people yourself. I love this book, can't wait to read the next one.
Rating: Summary: Princess of Manhatton Review: Although the overall storline is quite unrealistic the subplots are all quite relatable. Also every once in a while a person just likes to read about people who have a worse time getting a boyfriend than they do. It makes them feel good about themselves. Those who think this book is inappropriate for children are absoululey right this book is not for children it was written for teenagers. Yes the movie was a lot different but if you are between the ages of 12 and 17 you will probably enjoy it a lot more than you would if you were between the ages of 5 and 11 or 30 and 100 it is a piece made for teens that they enjoy. So mom's out there do not buy this for you young children wait until they are older and will understand it a lot more.
