Summary: The Princess Diaries- B/R
Review: This book is based on the diaries of Mia Thermopolis. Mia is a freshman in highschool and she's not happy about what has been going on in her life. She thinks that she is the biggest freak in school. What Mia is unhappy about is that her mom is dating her algebra teacher. One day, Mia's father comes into town, and tells Mia to come over to hotel room because he has something important to tell her. When Mia goes, her father tells her that he his the prince of Genovia. Not only that, but he also tells her that he can't have any more children, so she is the natural aire to the throne. When Mia heard that, she was shocked.

Reading this book was great. I loved reading it because it really was like reading a real diary. Of course I love reading other people's diaries, so that was why I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed reading "The Princess Diaries" because Mia's life is pretty interesting to read about. It's like reading about what might happen to yourself when you go into high school. It was sort of like reading your own diary. It was so similar to some peoples high school lives today.

My favorite part throughout the whole book was when Mia goes to her fathers hotel to find out that he can't have anymore children, and that she is the natural aire to the throne. It is my favorite part because when she said that she was the daughter of the prince, they wouldn't believe her. She kept on telling them, but they still wouldn't believe her. Then finally they called the prince (Mia's father) down from his hotel room, and he told the guards that she really was his duaghter. Then they let her go up. That part was hilarious!

Summary: Hilarious -- Plz Don't Compare To Movie
Review: This book was hysterical. I started reading it in a restaurant and couldn't stop laughing. Meg Cabot has an amazing style of writing that seems just like a teenage girl is telling the story. And I love the idea! Don't compare it to the movie though -- because although the basic idea is the same it's very remotely based on the actual novel (for one thing, the movie is G rated and the book defintely does not meet that criteria) so read/see both and basically enjoy two different stories. One of the funniest, most realistic books I've read

Summary: The Princess Diaries
Review: Is there anything more wonderful than being born as a princess who is honored, admired, respected, and given the opportunity to contribute to the people in her ¡§own¡¨ country? And get to live a unique life? Mia Thermopolis, an ordinary urban ninth grader who has a flat chest, bad hair, giant foot, and a big mouth is just this person, only she doesn¡¦t realize this until she reached her age of 15. Mia found this breaking news that she is the Princess of a small European country called Genovia hard to accept, because she found herself looking less like a princess than anyone else in the universe. Since she is his only child, she becomes the ¡§only¡¨ heir to the throne of Genovia. She has a lot of difficulties upon deciding whether she should take this responsibility and met a lot of obstacles on her way. What do you think would be her decision after careful considerations?

¡§The Princess Diaries¡¨ is an amazing, delightful, and interesting book written by Meg Cabot. It is more of like sharing, experiencing, or going through Mia¡¦s high school life along with her than reading an irrelevant and typical princess stories. You get to go through betrayals, heartbreaks, romance, friendship, love and all the ups and downs in Mia¡¦s life. I liked the way Meg had written this book, she had written this book in a diary form, where Mia writes down all her personal feelings towards everything that is happening in her life. Another reason why I liked this book is because it made me realized that I should believe in my own thoughts, follow my own will and do what I think is best for myself. I would recommend this book for anyone to read¡K

Review: At the begining of this book you think that it is going to be really boring and like the movie, but it is not like the movie it is actually quite different and it isn't boring at all. It took me two days to finish this book, I couldn't keep my nose out of it!

Summary: Lil' Something for Everyone
Review: This book can be read - and enjoyed! - by people who blink twice at the term "Young Adult" and by people who do not much enjoying reading at all. We all fall in love with Mia and her zany ways of thinking - she's more real than most other characters out there. It's a light reading to brighten up anyone's day.

Summary: makes being a princess seem unwanted, but likeable as well
Review: Mia finds out she is a princess when her father has testical cancer and can't have any more children. Since she is his only child, she becomes heir to the throne of Genovia. Narrarated by Mia herself, this is a hilarious book about a teenage girl's life starting with high school. We see Mia battle friendships, romance, and the gores of Algebra homework. Mia begins to grow up as the book nears the end and we find out that even she has a strong sense of being.

For more on Mia, check out the Disney movie or look for the upcoming books in the series.

Summary: A Great Book for Any Girl...
Review: "The Princess Diaries" by Meg Cabot was an excellent book. I found myself not being able to stop reading once I got going. If you saw the movie and enjoyed it, then you will LOVE the book. If you saw the movie and thought it was a bit cheesy or not quite what you expected, READ THE BOOK! In my opinion the movie wasn't true to the book, so i bet that you'll find the book a lot more worthwhile.

The story is of a 15 year old average high school geek named Mia THermopolis. Her trouble starts when her mother begins to date her algebra teacher, and on top of that, her Father has broken the news to her that she is the Princess of a small European country called Genovia. On top of this, her wretched Grandmother is giving her "Princess Lessons" and she is dealing with all the attention she is getting at school, especcially from her crush. Read the book and find out what happens when Mia is plucked from her high school geek phase and transformed into a popular princess.

You may be pleasently surprised when you read this, and who knows? It may just become one of your favorite books--I know it became one of mine! ;)
