Summary: A great book
Review: I'm 14 years old and I was a little sceptical about watching the "Princess Diaries" movie, thinking it would be childish since it was coming from Disney...but after watching and really enjoying it, I went to the library right away to check out the book. It was even better than the movie! Since then I've read the first two books in the series and am ready to read the third. A lot of people my age can relate to the way Mia feels about herself, her friends, and her family, it's easy to feel awkward about those things. The book also mixes fantasy with reality while still making it believable. You kind of wish it would happen to you! Unlike the movie, I felt like since the book is in diary form, you can really get into Mia's head and see exactly what she is thinking. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone 12 to 17.

Summary: An Almost Perfect Mix of Fantasy and Reality
Review: If you've always liked those "happily-ever-after stories, than you'll love The Princess Diaries. Meg Cabot instantly captures our attention with main character Mia, a teenage New Yorker who we can all identify with. Her parents are divorced, so she lives with her artist mom, while her dad is in faraway Genovia. Mia's life is pretty typical, consisting of her quirky best friend Lilly, her cat Fat Louie, long boring days of school, and algebra-her least favorite subject. Imagine her surprise when, during her father's visit in New York City, Mia discovers that her dad is the king of Genovia-and someday she'll be princess!
Mia hates the thought of being princess-but what choice does she have? Find out more in this amusing story. You'll love Mia's sarcastic humor and the crisp, fast paced story with adventure and laughs in every page.If you're a fan of diary-style books and "modern" fairy tales, this is a "can't-miss" hit!!

Summary: Lu He p.3
Review: This story is about a girl named Mia Thermopolis, she is a ninth grader that live in lives in Greenwich Village. She is not popular at all and the popular girls always make fun of her. One day, her grandmother came to town and she just realized that she is a princess. At first, she doesn't want to be a princess but later her friend motivated her to be a princess. Later, everyone at school knew that she is rich so the popular girl acted like that she is her friend. Mia fell in love with the popular boy in her school. Then, she found out that he only liked her because she was a princess. Mia got to be a princess and fell in love with her friend's brother.
I liked the story because it teaches people that to find a true love is not only looking on the outside, you have to really get to know them too. It also teaches that if you are a noyt popular person, don't worry because later you might be the one that is popular and smart. Mia always overcome her fear and never give up her hope. Although she did mess up on the choosing which boy is right for herself but later she untied the knot and found a good boyfriend.
My favorite part ogf the story is when Mia found out that she was a princess and then when she went to see her grandmother. Her grandmother told her to do lady like things but instead she did everything wrong. It was very funny that part of the story. It was sad when she got tricked by the popular girl in school. When Mia was changing in a tent the popular girl told her that no one is looking but later the popular girl flipped the tent upside down and she told the news people to take pictures of Mia. The next day, Mia's picture was on the front of the newspaper and she was very very mad. When she went to see her grandmother, her grandmother didn't get mad at her and told her that everyone makes mistakes.

Summary: The best Princess book around
Review: This is a brilliant book. It's funny (hilarious) and I loved it as much as I loved the film. Although it didn't compare with the film very much, I preferred the book more. This book was so funny that it only took me two days to finish it. I liked her mum (who was an artist) and her best friend, Lily Moscovitz. Mia (the main character) and Lily are normal(geeks) not very popular at school. Her nan came to town from Genovia and that day changed her life forever. She had to learn and talk like a princess but everything turned out wrong for her but her nan (the Queen of Genovia) thought she was the best princess she had ever seen.

Her personality shows alot and this diary is very easy to understand. The sequel: Princess in the Spotlight is also very hilarious. I let my friend borrow it during a class because she didn't have a book. Within 5 minutes of reading it she bursted out laughing. This is a really great book.

Summary: Meg Cabot's Royal Writing
Review: When I first saw this book at my school library, I knew it was going to be good. I had no idea how good. You see, The Princess Diaries is about Mia Thermopolis, a teen who's got more problems than she can handle. #1: Her mom is dating her Algebra teacher. #2: That's the subject Mia is Flunking. #3: Her dad just told her she is a Princess of an entire country. #4: She has to take Princess lessons with her awful french Grandmother. #5: Mia is branded a FREAK. #6: She is fighting with her best friend. And just when things look like all they can do is get worse, the coolest kid in school asks her to the dance! Read on!

Summary: The Humble Princess
Review: I'm 14 and while I was reading this book it really seemed like it was a diary of a girl around my age. It told all about her feelings of how she was a normal girl turned princess. And one of the great things is she's not what you would would think of as a princess. She's not Miss Popular, she isn't a model, she isn't rich and she doesn't have a boyfriend. The book is hilarious and so real. I truly recommened it for any teenage girl--it's great!!!

Summary: The Princess Diaries
Review: I loved the book Princess Diaries! The book is about a teenage girl named Mia Thermopolis and she is a nerd with an average, horrible life. She has barely any friends, too tall nad scrawny for her age, and she looks like a nerd. Mia Thermopolis's mom had been dating her ALGEBRA TEACHER for a couple of months now and her mother has had no problem with it. Mia is pretty stressed out by now and hten one day, Mia's father decides to come over and tell her the horrible news. Mia is the princess of Genovia! Mai is shocked nad her father has also tiold her htat she is to become the princess and rule genovia when hte school year is over. Her father expects her to move to Genoviz over the summer and live there to rule. Somehow, the school finds out about the whole situation and now, everyone begins to treat Mia like a queen. One day, while Mia is learning in her class,,a whole group of anchor women and men come charging through thte classroom asking Mia a whole mess of questions. So in order to put a sotp to this, Mia's grandmother comes nad takes MIa home. From that day forth , right after school, Mia is to be trained to become a princess too. She has to learn how to properly cross your legs, the royal wave nad such things as how to walk like a proper and polite princess. After about a year, Mia is fully trained and becomes a great princess and comes moves to Genovia over the summer. Mia rules as a queen and it is greast but lonely sometimes too...
My favorite part in the story is hte part where Mia is inside the classroom and hse is bored to death and all of sudden, the anchor women and men bombard into the class and ask her questions. The quesionts were funny too such as: Mrs. Thermopolis, what do you do about your pimples? Mia, how does to it feel to become a princess. It just amazes me how badly people can invade your privacy and how annoying it can become. Mia hates it and tries to run out but then her classmates try to stop her. Everyone pops in front of the camera trying to get their faces in front of the camera which probably really bothers and distracts the people.
I would recommend this book to eleven year olds to adults. THe book is humorous and yet sad at moments too. You ca always immagine yourself as the charater and feel as if it were you trying to get away from all hte horribly cameras. The book makes you never want to end. The book is better for teenagers because hte book understands how teenagers lives goes on. Well, not hte princess part but all besides that, this book just talks about a regular teenage girls life.

Review: The book wasn't what I was expecting. When it said based on the novel I thought it would be like the movie but it seemed totally different. The characters were all different, their names and everything. It's too bad.
